5 The New Capital In February 2016 Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisy announced a project to build the new capital of Egypt as a smart city The project is to be achieved by focusing on a smart and interconnected infrastructure as well as integration of systems.
6 Location & Size New Cairo capital city is located 35 KM East of Cairo of a total area of 170,000 feddan. The new capital city lies between the regional ring road, the Cairo-Suez road and Cairo-El Ain El Sokhna road.
