All traffic control signage to conform to Ontario Traffic Manual, Temporary Conditions, Book 7. Figure TL42 (Figure 2) to be used for closures and detours and TL20 (Figure 3) and/or TL33 (Figure 4) depending on width of roadway. All affected intersection(s) and/or work areas will have all appropriate signage to detour traffic as easily as possible. If existing traffic signals (Thompson Road, Edward St, Poyntz St, Robert St W) within work areas, traffic signals to be set to coordinate with construction work and traffic. PEDESTRIAN ACCESS / LOCAL BUSINESSES All existing sidewalks to remain in place for duration of works within immediate work area until placement of base asphalt. Temporary fence, example shown in Figure 5, will be erected between sidewalk and work area for pedestrian safety. Once base asphalt is placed, removal and replacement of sidewalks will commence. Advertisement Boards will be created and posted for all businesses within affected work area and/or intersections displaying sidewalk access open. These boards will be placed at all affected intersections. An example shown below (Figure 6) would be placed at the Main Street and Robert Street Closure. The Public Relations Officer (PRO) and/or the Flag Persons to also assist general public, employees, business owners and property owners with access through work areas.
