15 CAPITAL PROJECTS // Gallup Park Border-to- Border Trail 1.4 mile long section of B2B trail re-paved and widened from 6 to 10 Paid for by the Parks Millage and with a Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) Grant

16 CAPITAL PROJECTS // Leslie Park Pickleball & Tennis Courts BEFORE AFTER Resurface existing tennis courts and convert 2 of the tennis courts to 6 new Pickleball Courts Decision to convert to Pickleball courts was a result of the PROS Plan and community requests. Reflects changing demographics as the sport is popular with the senior community.

17 CAPITAL PROJECTS // Leslie Park Pickleball & Tennis Courts Resurface existing tennis courts and convert 2 of the tennis courts to 6 new Pickleball Courts Decision to convert to Pickleball courts was a result of the PROS Plan and community requests. Reflects changing demographics as the sport is popular with the senior community.

18 CAPITAL PROJECTS // Fuller Pool Stucco Repair & Repainting Stucco on the pool building surface had deteriorated over time and had significant cracks. Plaster was repaired and repainted.

21 CAPITAL PROJECTS // Veterans Park Pool Liner Replacement Replacement of the existing marcite pool liner with a new PVC liner that is longer-lasting and has fewer maintenance needs. PROS plan identifies this liner replacement as a priority project to maintain the structural integrity of the pool. Marcite pool liners were replaced with PVC at Buhr and Fuller pools in 2013 and are performing well.

22 CAPITAL PROJECTS // Veterans Park Pool Filter + Pump Replacement Replacement of pool filter, main pool pump and the accessory pumps for the slide and water features. Sustainability Benefits: Reduction in water use ( ,000 gallons) Reduction in energy demands (Approx. $5,000 saved annually) Improved pool water quality (Remove 3x as many 5 micron particles)
