The Atlantis vision of a true Green City, a city covered with beautiful landscaped rooftop gardens which reduces the effects of global warming, provides a sink for carbon and harvests rainwater while eliminating polluted stormwater runoff creating a sustainable balance between urbanization and nature for a sustainable future.

Case Study CLIENT: Auburn Rail Facility LOCATION: Auburn, N.S.W., AUSTRALIA COMPLETION: March 2009 INSTALLATION VOLUME: 11000m³ (388,461ft³) DISTRIBUTOR: Atlantis Water Management ESTABLISHED IN 1986 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Auburn Maintenance Facility was undertaken in partnership with John Holland and consulting engineers Kellogg Brown Root. The task was to collect 11 million litres of water from a 1-in-100 years storm event over 30ha (3229,173ft²) for discharge to a local waterway. PROJECT VALUE: The stormwater system design provided stormwater quality improvements while meetings load requirements and hydraulic needs of the site. Stormwater is captured by the ballast between the rail tracks and infiltrates through the sand layer into the Atlantis Matrix (D-Raintank ) modules. Each detention tank is linked in a subsurface chain of ponds arrangement before being released into Duck Creek. By utilizing Atlantis stormwater systems, the peak flow of stormwater entering Duck Creek is significantly reduced maintaining environmental flow, essential for healthy aquatic ecosystems. 4 INFILTRATION / SOAKAWAY SYSTEMS

Case Study CLIENT: Prime Retail LOCATION: Williamsburg, VA, U.S.A. COMPLETION: June 2008 INSTALLATION VOLUME: 9628m³ (340,000ft³) DISTRIBUTOR: ACF ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The job was a major shopping center expansion which called for approximately 9628 m³ (340,000 ft³) of underground detention, equivalent to the volume of practically 4 Olympic swimming pools. PROJECT VALUE: Most of that volume was installed to replace an existing pond that was previously on the site. Additional volume beyond what was held in the pond was required due to the additional retail & parking space. The cover materials over the Atlantis Matrix (D-Raintank ) was an open-graded stone (not sand). The project had to be done VERY QUICKLY in order to get the new stores open in time. To meet the schedule we had crews of up to 25 people working long days to assemble and install about 20,000 cubic feet (566.3 CUM) per day. The Atlantis Matrix (D-Raintank ) was the best option for the project because it minimized the disturbance to the site and to the existing tenants/stores which stayed open throughout construction. 6 INFILTRATION / SOAKAWAY SYSTEMS

Case Study CLIENT: Zayed University LOCATION: ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates COMPLETION: February 2009 INSTALLATION VOLUME: 4,000m³ (141,259ft³) DISTRIBUTOR: Atlantis Water Management ESTABLISHED IN 1986 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Proudly bearing the name of the founder of the nation - the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan - Zayed University was founded in 1998 to inspire, encourage, educate, and lead a powerful generation of students. Zayed University is a public urban non-profit institute of higher education founded in 1998 that is located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The non co-educational university caters to both national and international students with undergraduate and graduate programs. The new campus is being built on 75 hectares at New Khalifa City near Abu Dhabi International Airport. When complete, the new campus will have a built-up area of 200,000 m2 and provide educational facilities for 6000 students. Completion is expected in July PROJECT VALUE: Atlantis products are being used as part of the stormwater system. Over 6.1km of infiltration channels or soakaways have been installed beside roads and pathways, providing over 4 million litres of temporary storage. The channel system is constructed of thousands of Atlantis Matrix (D-Raintank ) - Double Modules wrapped in geotextile, placed in the channel two modules wide. Water from the impervious surfaces is stored in the modules and gradually allowed to percolate into the surrounding soil. The infiltration channels are sized to make sure that it doesn t overflow in severe storm events and to ensure that all the water is dissipated effectively into the surrounding area. A concrete sump has been provided a regular intervals to ensure that sand and vegetation matter cannot enter the infiltration channel. The project is being developed by Mubadala Development Company, which is wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi government and the main contractor for the stormwater is Al Habtoor Specon Hastie International, a joint venture between Al Habtoor Engineering and Hastie Group Limited. 8 INFILTRATION / SOAKAWAY SYSTEMS

Case Study CLIENT: Kingsford Smith Airport LOCATION: Mascot, NSW, Australia COMPLETION: March 2007 INSTALLATION VOLUME: 270m³ (9,535ft³) DISTRIBUTOR: Atlantis Water Management ESTABLISHED IN 1986 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Sydney Airport is located within the Botany Basin which is characterised by a generally flat topography, rising only a few metres above sea level. The underlying geology of Sydney Airport comprises of unconsolidated sediments overlying bedrock. The bedrock has relatively low permeability and therefore acts as a barrier to vertical groundwater flow. PROJECT VALUE: The entirety of Sydney Airport is located within a Groundwater Embargo Area. This zone has been set aside as a buffer zone around the Groundwater Extraction Exclusion Zone from groundwater contamination from surrounding industrial sites. The embargo to the surrounding areas allows to management of sites with potential contamination by restricting new access to groundwater. Drainage system carries rainwater from roof of buildings and runoff from other impermeable surfaces through a gross pollutant trap where sand and silt is removed. The water is stored in 270m³ (9,535ft³) of Altantis Tank Modules and allowed to infiltrate and recharge the shallow groundwater levels of the Botany Sands Aquifer. 10 INFILTRATION / SOAKAWAY SYSTEMS

Case Study CLIENT: City of Everett LOCATION: City of Everett, WA, U.S.A. COMPLETION: August 2007 INSTALLATION VOLUME: 244m³ (8,600ft³) DISTRIBUTOR: Matzke Company PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project was completed for City of Everett, WA, USA. It consists of 244m³ (8,600 ft³) of storage Atlantis Matrix (D-Raintank ) Triple Tank Modules. PROJECT VALUE: It was designed to store excess surface run-off around newly constructed bridge abutments. The water is released at a prescribed rate into the city's stormwater system. This reduces the load on the system during a peak flow event. 14 INFILTRATION / SOAKAWAY SYSTEMS

Case Study CLIENT: Department of Irrigation & Drainage, Sarawak, Malaysia LOCATION: Medan Pelita, Kuching, MALAYSIA COMPLETION: October 1999 DISTRIBUTOR: ZeroWaste Rainwater Management Sdn Bhd PROJECT DESCRIPTION: When concrete channels having laminar flow fill with stormwater, they are aesthetically unpleasant as they are exposed to the sun and pollution. PROJECT VALUE: A polluted concrete channel has been remedied by the use of the Atlantis Channel Systems to eliminate water contamination, air pollution, mosquitoes and vermin. Atlantis Matrix (D-Raintank ) Tank Modules were wrapped in Geotextile to form an underground channel, parceled within a course permeable material to allow surface infiltration. The quality of stormwater will be greatly improved due to infiltration through the soil profile and vortex motion within the tank module. 16 INFILTRATION / SOAKAWAY SYSTEMS

Case Study CLIENT: Mall Arauco LOCATION: Quilicura Mall, Santiago, CHILE COMPLETION: May 2006 INSTALLATION VOLUME: 2150m³ (75,926ft³) DISTRIBUTOR: EMIN S.A. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: To store and infiltrate storm water from building area of the Quilicura Mall in Santiago, Chile. The huge scale of the project and the low infiltration capacity of the soil posed an additional problem. The infiltration tank had to have a very large storage volume that influenced the design of the project, in order to be capable of storing all of the potential stormwater volume. PROJECT VALUE: The consulting company, IRH, has vast experience in the design of plans for the storm water management, eliminated the possibility of implementing trenches with stone aggregate. The low storage capacity of stone aggregate, only 40%, resulted in excavations that are too expansive and too deep. The solution was to design and install Atlantis Matrix (D-Raintank ) Tanks for the storm water management system, which are substantially higher performing than stone aggregate as they have a 90% void area in comparison to the 40% of stone. The volume required for the management of storm water was reduced to more than half of what was originally considered, producing significant saving in earth movement and labour, as well as being able to accelerate the installation of the works. In addition to the compliance of the storm water management system to eliminate the possibility of flood, water harvesting systems where incorporated so that the stored water can be used for irrigation of the mall s parks and gardens. 18 INFILTRATION / SOAKAWAY SYSTEMS
