In addition to the study of Pathology and Physiology of the formed elements of blood with an emphasis on clinical correlation. Blood Banking Course, MSPA 5, This course will introduce the students to the theoretical aspects of immunohaematology and provide an introduction to the comprehensive and evolving discipline of Transfusion medicine. Haematology II Course, MSPA, The course aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge to understand principles and physiologic significance of coagulation and to provide students with the ability to perform many basic tests integral to a coagulation laboratory. Blood Banking II Course, MSPA 4, This course covers all the routine tests done in general chemistry, immunochemistry and special chemistry labs. Students should be able to perform laboratory tests on fully automated instruments, carry out the maintenance of these machines, able to interpret the results, analyse and resolve the problems of methodology and interpretation. They should also be able to develop communications and interpersonal skills.
