Three members of the team are IEMA Registered EIA Practitioners. Surface s EIA work is carried out in accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2011 or its equivalent in transposing the EU s EIA Directive into UK Law. The Surface Environment team has extensive experience in undertaking, co-ordinating and managing the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for complex and diverse projects, with our reporting, advice and technical services standing up to the most rigorous legal examination at Public Inquiry. We work closely with our clients to reduce risk by ensuring legislative compliance and good practice from the very earliest stages of a project through the planning and design stages and into the construction phase. Our team of highly regarded EIA specialists engage with our in-house disciplines, clients, industry specialists and stakeholders to develop efficient and innovative solutions that are individually tailored to the projects we work on throughout the UK. We have an industry-leading track record in providing cost-effective, clear and accurate EIA advice and reporting in support of planning submissions, from simple developments to largescale, complex EIAs and at Public Inquiry.

3 Construction Environmental Management The Surface team has extensive experience of providing environmental support on construction projects across the sectors in which we work. Our staff hold site working accreditation such as CSCS and work alongside developers and contractors to ensure environmental issues and obligations are addressed throughout the construction phase of projects. We pride ourselves on our approach to health and safety and integration with the requirements of the CDM Regulations. Our multi-disciplinary approach adds efficiency to projects through the management of a variety of services through a single point of contract on a single contract. Our technical staff work together with our environmental specialists and engineers to offer a fully integrated service led by staff who understand the key drivers of working in a construction environment.
