1 Faculty of Civil Engineering & Planning Graduates from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning play roles widely at national and international levels, from public to private sectors even owning national wide businesses. Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning of ITS as one the oldest faculties at ITS, provides many departments and has won many awards nationally and internationally. 2 Department of Civil Engineering, which established in November 1957, is one of the oldest departments in ITS. Its vision is to be a resource centre of civil engineering in Indonesia. It has high quality facilities and since 2007 obtained ISO 9001:2008. There are 62 lecturers including 7 professors and 25 doctors, 36 Masters, and 1 Bachelor degree holders. Moreover, civil engineers can set up their own engineering consultancy. In addition, they have a chance to continue their studies at prestigious universities around the world. 3 Architecture Department of Architecture was established in It has developed from a merely technical to a more research based department. Master, doctoral, and professional programs were opened in 1993, 2002, and 2009 respectively. i This department cooperates with several universities in UK, Netherlands, Australia, Japan, and Germany. In order to fulfill the International Architect Association's (UIA) standard for 5 years fulltime education, the department collaborates with IAI (Indonesian Institue of Architecs) in carrying out a one year profesional program beside the degree courses. 4 Department of Environmental Engineering is ready to generate expertises on environmental infrastructure and environmental pollution control engineering. This department has undergraduate, master, and doctoral programs, all hold A accreditation. 5 Department of Geomatics Engineering was established officially in the It has 3 main study programs, i.e.: Geomatics, Survey/Geodesy, and GIS/Remote Sensing. The vision is to be a center of Geomatics Engineering in South East Asia. i The department has conducted research, training and consultancy to a number of institutions in Indonesia. The graduates work in government institutions and private companies in Indonesia. The Department of Geomatics Engineering has undergraduate and master programs. Geodetic Science (Geodinamic, GPS, Datum Transformation Model, Formulating and Solving Geodetic Problems) Geodesy Engineering and Mapping (Survey Construction, Mapping Basic, Exploration Mapping) Photogrametry and Remote Sensing Geospatial (GIS, Image Processing, etc) Cadastral, Land Information and Properties Geodesy Marine, Survey Hydrography and Oceanography Studies Geodesy and Surveying Geodesy Marine and Hydrography Geospatial Cadastral and Property Graduates are much needed by parties, institutions, and agencies that require spatial information (geospatial/spatial data) such as BPPT, LAPAN, and LIPI. For example, offshore survey needs topograhy survey, bathimetry/hydrography survey and scouting survey seabed profile particularly for oil and gas companies. 6 Department of Industrial Product Design has vision to be a center excellent of education, research and development in design based on premises of creativity, technology, socio-culture and economic to make up international reputable innovation. The department has conducted research, training and design consultancy to a number of corporate, government institutions, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and other institutions in Indonesia. Internationally, in 2008 the department has initiated a cooperation with MARA Malaysia in developing MARA Institute of Design and Visual Communication. In addition, the department has been working with Atlantic Palavox Malaysia in the area of research and professional assistance in interior design, furniture design, and digital animation. 7 Department of Urban and Regional Planning in ITS was established in 2002, since then it has played as the leader in urban planner education for Eastern part of Indonesia. There are 18 lecturers including 4 doctors. 8 Geophysical Engineering Department of Geophysical Engineering focuses in earth sciences especially in earth measurement, physical properties mapping and imaging of the earth's crust in the same way that medical doctors create image of human organs.geophysical Engineering is an interdiciplinary field which formed through geology, physics, mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering, and more. Reservoir Geophysics Oil and mineral exploration Geothermal Near Surface Problems (Geothecnics and Environmental Geophysical) Geophysics and Geodynamics Geophysics Graduates of Geophysical Engineering can enter various fields related to geophysical engineering. They can work as an exploration geophysicist assisting in the discovery and development of oil, gas, mineral deposits, renewable energy and groundwater sources. Graduates may also work as an engineering geophysicist assisting in the placement of large engineered structures or the characterization of pulluted sites. 9 Interior Design Interior Design Department Education emphasizes on the Laboratory Based Education combined with Studio system. The education is supported by professional lecturers with degrees on doctoral and master. Intensive consultation and guidance to each student during the design project resulted on qualified graduate which have always been highly demanded by professionals. A depth and intensive internship at a design firm, national and international will enhance the skill and experiences of each graduate to perform their profession in the design field. A specific system of education at the Interior Design Department will give each student a pleasant and friendly study environment throughout the school years till the graduation day. Periodical evaluation and development on the education system at the Interior Design Department ensure the highly qualified graduates of the Interior Design Department at FTSP, ITS. Interior Design Knowledge and Understanding Interior Design Practice Built Environment and Behaviour Building Science and Technology Building Design and Culture Graduates of interior design can enter various fields related to Interior Design. The majority of graduates are currently working as consultants whether independently or joined agencies. In addition, graduates of Interior Design are preferred by manufacturing factory companies which are focusing on interior components and real estate development. They also have the opportunity as academics instead of in the Interior Design field.
