2 The Pacific Coast Collaborative (PCC) West Coast Leaders Agreement in 2008 Governors (CA, OR, WA) & Premier (B.C.) Focus: West Coast climate & energy challenges OAH subcommittee in 2013: Design and implement coordinated, effective West Coast OA research and monitoring Initiate the development of an international network of countries, states, provinces and cities to work to together to address the threat of changing ocean conditions, particularly OA

Measures an array of physical, chemical, and biological variables 3. Builds on ongoing efforts Observing assets Procedure guidance Data access 4. Develops and sustains intellectual capacity

10 West Coast OAH Monitoring Inventory British Columbia, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and California have inventoried their research and monitoring communities. Collaborative effort with the PCC/IWG-OA Joint Monitoring Taskforce Oregon & California are directing the regional integration and web product development efforts OR/CA results on right British Columbia, Alaska, and Washington are working closely and soon to follow! 36 Shore-Side Sensors 94 Moorings 5 Survey Areas 16 Tracks 988 Cruise Stations ALL of the information collected is being made into digital tools and web maps for the use of natural resource managers and researchers 1153 Sample Sites
