As the steam condenses, the heat it contains is released. This additionally usable heat is returned to the heating system through heat exchangers. This reduces stand-by periods and high-energy, high- emission burner startups to around 10%. As a result, combustion is considerably cleaner, lower in emissions and consumes less energy. The patented grid burner achieves virtually flame-free combustion. The flat flame pattern stays markedly cooler than gas flames in conventional gas burners, significantly reducing nitrogen oxide and carbon monoxide emissions.
