1 Cowessess First Nation #73 Office of the Housing & Infrastructure Programs Phone: (306) Fax: (306) Cell: (639) May 2, 2018 RE: MINOR AND MAJOR REPAIRS AND WHO IS RESPONSIBLE On behalf of The Housing and Infrastructure Department, we would like to make our tenants aware of repair items that are the tenants responsibility and repair items that are the Housing Departments responsibility. This is in compliance with Housing Policy 4.8, Repairs and Maintenance to the Unit. Housing Policy 4.8, Repairs and Maintenance to the Unit, states the following: 1. All Tenants are required to attend Home Maintenance Workshops. 2. The occupants or tenants shall be responsible to cover the cost of all repairs classified as minor. 3. The Housing and Infrastructure Department shall be responsible to cover the cost of all repairs classified as major with the exception of those repairs due to negligence and or willful damage by the tenant. All repairs will be documented and placed on the appropriate files. (Refer to section 4.2.3) I have attached a list of Minor repairs (the tenants responsibility) and a list of Major repairs (Housing Departments responsibility unless damage is due to negligence and or willful damage caused by the tenant).
