Aluminium - Corrosion resistant and aerodynamically shaped, providing highly effective cooling. Wood - Marine ply and weather resistant ensures no swelling, sagging or distortion. Designed for optimal air delivery but less effective than the aluminium blade. Air Delivery and Fan Speed - Vary greatly depending on the number of blades, blade sweep and blade material. Wood blades will spin slower than aluminium blades. Blade sets - Number of blades vary for each motor model. More blades does not necessarily mean more air delivery but can be more aesthetically pleasing than a three blade fan. Blade sweep - The overall diameter from blade tip to blade tip. Blade sweep selection - use the following rule of thumb. Safety - Take into account that the blades need to be clear of open cupboard doors, not be within reach of bunk beds and not cross over any lighting as it may cause a flickering effect. What is the proper way to install WOODEN blades? It is recommended that you mount the ceiling fan motor to the fixing point before attaching the blades. Each motor is paired with its own set of wooden blades, be careful not to mix up the sets if you have purchased more than one set of wooden blades. Match the serial number on the blades with the serial number on the motor to ensure that you have paired the correct sets together. Match the colour on the blades with the colour on the motor. TECHNICAL FAN IMBALANCE In the unlikely event of your fan running unbalanced after installation, or after a period of time, there is now an easy way to re-balance. Switch off fan Use a measuring tape or a carpenters square to measure the distance between ceiling and the tip of fan blade as shown below. Mark on tape or square and repeat with other two blades. Carefully bend blade(s) at bracket in the required direction until all three blades measure precisely the same distance to ceiling. Your fan should now run smooth and balanced. 22 TECHNICAL REGULATORS Aesthetically pleasing - Cover plate is white in colour, customisable colours on request. Flush or wall mounted. Single regulators can only be used to operate one fan. Multiple regulators are available for operating more than one fan. Electronic regulators will cause the fans to make a noise. Light switches or dimmers can be added to the regulators. Reverse option can be used by installing a 2 way switch at the wall regulator. THREE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY WARRANTY Solent Trading makes the following limited warranty to the user or consumer purchaser of this Solent Ceiling Fan: Fan Motor: If your Solent Ceiling Fan motor fails at any time within three years from the original purchase, due to a defect in material or workmanship, labour to repair or replace the motor will be provided free of charge. Purchaser will be responsible for all costs after this three-year period. Fan Parts: If any part of your Solent Ceiling Fan other than the motor, under light glass shade or lamps fails at any time within three years from the original purchase, due to defect in material or workmanship, we will repair or replace at our discretion, the defective part, free of charge for parts and labour. What's not covered: Because of varying climate conditions, this warranty does not cover changes in the finish, including rusting, pitting, corroding, tarnishing or peeling. What will void my warranty: This warranty is void and does not apply to damage from improper installation, neglect, accident, misuse, no serial number, exposure to extreme heat or humidity, exposure to water, or as a result of any modification or use of parts not authorised to the original product.
