2 WHO WE ARE QUALITY MAKES THE DIFFERENCE FOR 50 YEARS In 2016 COSMOGAS celebrated its 50 Anniversary. In 1966, during the Italian economic boom, Arturo Alessandrini, with the entrepreneurial spirit that has always distinguished him and a clear vision of the future, opened in Meldola (Forlì) a small factory for the production of gas and oil boilers. It is the beginning of an adventure! Thanks to the revolutionary copper tube heat exchanger, the heart of COSMOGAS boilers, and the rapid distribution of Natural Gas into Italian homes, the company soon became to an enviable position in the European market for domestic use gas boilers. When the children joined the Company the research and development department was boosted and many patents were registered making unique products. COSMOGAS, handling the condensation technology since the early 90s, built the unique heat exchangers R.S.C. and stainless steel titanium R.V.C., nowadays among the most efficient and reliable on the market Arturo Alessandrini founded Cosmogas 1980 Great success of the copper tube heat exchanger. Today COSMOGAS offers a wide range of gas condensing boilers, among the most efficient on the market and multiple solutions based on renewable energies, such as hybrid systems, solar thermal systems and heat pumps and offers the widest range of water heaters and hot water producers condensing on the market. COSMOGAS is led even today, after 50 years, by Alessandrini family that, now as then, designs, patents and internally produces the entire product range, with the utmost attention to the choices of materials and components, with the solid belief that quality makes the difference! 2005 R.S.C. condensing heat exchanger was patented. 4 OUR PATENTS PATENTED STAINLESS STEEL R.S.C. AND R.V.C. PRIMARY HEAT EXCHANGERS EXCLUSIVE PATENTED DESIGN - Since the early 90 s Cosmogas juggles the condensing technology designing and developping two exclusive primary heat exchangers: R.S.C. and R.V.C.. EXCEPTIONAL RESISTANCE AGAINST CORROSION - The 3 series of stainless steel round tubes, which the heat exchangers are made of, are fasten without weld joints to grant the highest resistance against corrosion. HIGH EFFICIENCY - Both heat exchangers have been designed to reach an optimal exchange along the entire lengh of the exchanger and to grant an exceptional efficiency up to 110% with savings on heating up to 35%. R.V.C. HEAT EXCHANGER Radial Variable Circulation, with stainless steel AISI 316Ti (Titanium) non wet chamber without weld joints to keep unaltered the carachteristics of stainless steel, housed inside a resistant self-supporting monobloc made of insulating composite. R.S.C. HEAT EXCHANGER Radial Shared Circulation, with AISI 316L stainless steel wet chamber, to grant the highest resistance to corrosion, housed inside a resistant selfsupporting monobloc made of stainless steel. HEAT EXCHANGERS MADE IN COSMOGAS Cosmogas heat exchangers are made of 3 series of round tubes (18 and 16 mm diameter), to avoid clogging and to grant: LARGE WATER FLOW GREAT EXCHANGE SURFACE LOW PRESSURE DROPS HIGH WORKING PRESSURE (up to 11 bar) 4

5 Patents R.S.C. AND R.V.C. HEAT EXCHANGERS OPERATING During the operating, return water is distributed on Ø16 and Ø18 mm round tubes series. The advantage of such a system is to condense with 55/56 C temperatures of the return water and to have excellent outputs of the boiler even in radiators systems. In the R.S.C. heat exchanger fluid circulation is radial shared, while in the R.V.C. heat exchanger it is radial variable. COSMOMIX PATENTED PREMIX SYSTEM The innovating premix and cascade sequence control system employed in Cosmogas boilers allows an exceptional turndown ratio from 1:6 to 1:20 (and even more in case of boilers in cascade sequence). Ecologic premix boilers have a constant air/gas ratio in each point of the turndown range of the burner, decreasing polluting emissions and streamlining efficiency. Cosmogas premix burner is made of Fecralloy a special metal fibre and has a round shape. The premix burner spreads short and perfectly nourished flames. 6 Q30TM GAS-ADAPTIVE Q30 WALL HUNG GAS-ADAPTIVE CONDENSING BOILERS Q30 is the new concept gas-adaptive condensing boiler with variable modulating output from 3 to 30 kw born to satisfy nowadays housing needs, energy saving and comfort. COMPACT AND ELEGANT - Only 30,5 cm depth contain all the power of Q30 in an elegant and refined design. Its small size and light weight simplify installation. It has been given great attention to the user usability with simple and intuitive controls, and ease of maintenance with front access to the boiler. 10 SMALL BUT POWERFUL MYdens 60 COMMERCIAL WALL HUNG GAS CONDENSING BOILERS MYdens 60 is the commercial wall hang heat only gas condensing 60 kw boiler. It is ideal for small business and multi-family users. COMPACT, LIGHTWEIGHT AND ECOLOGIC - Only 44 kg for 57,8 kw output. MYdens 60 is extremely ecologic thanks to the premix burner made of Fecralloy fiber which develops short and perfectly nourished flames. WIDE TURNDOWN RATIO 1:8 - thanks to patented air/ gas premix system Cosmomix. The boiler output adapts according to real need for room heating, guaranteeing great gas savings and low CO 2 emissions in the atmosphere. MYdens 60 wall hung 60 kw IT ALWAYS WORKS IN CONDENSING MODE SO IT IS IDEAL EVEN WITH RADIATORS Usually a standard condensing boiler works in condensing mode only in combination with low temperature heating systems. This happens because the floor heating installation works with water at low temperature and the condensing boiler reaches its maximal efficiency at this condition. But traditional radiators need to be heated with high temperature water and traditional condensing boilers do not condense when they work at high operating temperatures. Thanks to the innovative, wide surface, patented R.V.C. heat exchanger of MYdens 60 flue gases condense at 55 C return temperatures, working always in condensing mode also in installation with radiators. For this reason MYdens 60 is the ideal condensing boiler not only for new installations, but also in the replacement market. 10

14 HEAT OUTPUT UP TO 2240 kw MYdens T CASCADE SEQUENCE 885HC SEQUENCER UP TO 8 MYDENS 280 T - MYdens 280 T boilers can be connected in cascade sequence up to 8 units to achieve a maximum power of 2240 kw. One unit operates as Manager and the other as Dependents modulating to get the requested output. MINIMUM GROUND SPACE - MYdens 280 T boilers can be connected to each other in cascade sequence with a minimum distance of 10 cm. They have been conceived to have access to both front and rear side, to facilitate any type of maintenance. TURNDOWN RATIO UP TO 1:160 - Cascade sequence is recommended in all installations where it is necessary to ensure continuity of operation and where it is necessary to get high output for starting and low output for operation mm SAFETY KIT Depending on local code, it is useful to install a safety kit on each unit. CASCADE SEQUENCE CONTROL MYdens 280 T cascade sequence is controlled by a 885HC sequencer that manages the rotation and the sequence. Each boiler must be equipped with a 885IF interface. MYdens 280 T cascade sequence is possible through a simple daisychain wiring connection. 14
