The tank, the washing arms, as well as the bodywork and, in some models, the rinsing arms and the back panel, are made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel to guarantee a longer life. SAFETY STANDARDS: IPX4 In compliance with the CEI EN standard, careful design has ensured IPX4 certification, the highest degree of waterproof protection in Smeg dishwashers. In addition, all Smeg dishwashers conform to the most rigorous IEC construction and safety standards. ANTI-BACKFLOW DEVICE TOTAL AQUASTOP The anti-backflow device conforms to international directives and prevents dirty water from flowing back into the mains in the event of a pressure drop. This system is installed in Greenline models and prevents any accidental damage caused by water leaks in the machine or along the feed pipe. D U R A B I L I T Y S T R E N G H T R E L I A B I L I T Y SELF-DIAGNOSTICS INFRARED COMMUNICATIONS PORT A modern self-diagnostic system signals any faults and enables targeted action by the technician. The infrared communications port allows the downloading of the operating data, the last 10 error messages and the updating of the control and self-diagnostics software via a computer. This operation is useful for improving and maintaining dishwasher performance. RATIONALISATION OF SPARE PARTS ACCESSIBILITY OF COMPONENTS. Many components are common to all Smeg dishwashers, which makes spare part management and retrieval by technical service easier. All components are positioned so that they may be easily accessed by the operators. 10 SMEG OSMOSIS TREATMENT UNIT ELIMINATES SALTS, ORGANIC SUBSTANCES AND BACTERIA FOR OUTSTANDING HYGIENE AND SPARKLE The osmosis treatment unit employs reverse osmosis to produce demineralised and purified water from which 99% of the salts, organic substances and bacteria have been eliminated. The osmosis treatment unit is equipped with flow and pressure control devices, a membrane flushing circuit and an electronic control panel with conductivity sensor that constantly monitors the water quality. DEMINERALISER FILTERS ALL MINERAL SALTS Ideal for preventing halos on cutlery and glassware, the demineraliser eliminates all of the mineral salts contained in the water by means of a mixed-bed resin column. An LED indicates when it is time to replace the column. This accessory, made of AISI 316L stainless steel, dispenses water at mains pressure and is equipped with a water conductivity meter. I N T E G R A T E D W A S H I N G S Y S T E M MORE THAN THE DISHWASHER MODELS WITH WATER SOFTENER INCORPORATED, SMEG OFFERS SPECIFIC ACCESSORIES DEDICATED TO WATER TREATMENT. Using the osmosis or demineraliser prevents impurities from depositing on the surface of the dishes so that they no longer need to be polished after drying. SOFTENER REMOVES CALCIUM AND MAGNESIUM The Smeg water softener treats water by passing it through a bed of resins where calcium and magnesium salts are removed. The use of a mains water treatment system makes it possible to remove agents that compromise the washing result by causing halos on cutlery and glassware and leaving scale, thus lowering the efficiency of the heating elements and increasing electrical energy consumption. This purification system reduces detergent and rinse aid costs by up to 70%, since consumption of these agents depends largely on the hardness of the water.
