5 Page 5 of 5 Application and use Close coupled suits are designed as hygienical flushing devices to be connected to drinking water installations with a maximum water temperature of 30 C. Marking The products are marked with the word mark KIWA. The WC-pan, cistern and float operated valve of the close coupled suits shall be marked word mark "KIWA". On the WC-pan this wordmark shall be followed by the number 6, 7,5 or 9, indicating the flushing volume. Place of the mark: - on the WC-pans between the attachment holes of the lavatory seat or on the sides of the flushing rim; - on the float valves on the body; - on the cisterns on the left side, right side or front or on the inside above water level. Example: The close coupled suit shall be marked as follows: on the WC-pan: "KIWA-6", on the flushing cistern: "KIWA" and on the float valve: "KIWA" This way the marking is given that the close coupled suit is for use with a full flush of 6 ± 0.2 litres. This flush volume is indicated as the highest waterline in the cistern. Additional compulsory marking: - name or mark of manufacturer: on the WC-pans between the attachment holes of the lavatory seat or on one of the sides of the flushing rim; on the float valves on the body; on the cisterns on the left side, right side or front or on the inside above the water level. Method of marking: indelible; visible after assembly. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CUSTOMERS Check at the time of delivery whether: the supplier has delivered in accordance with the agreement; the mark and the marking method are correct; the products show no visible defects as a result of transport etc. If you should reject a product on the basis of the above, please contact: Villeroy & Boch AG and, if necessary, Kiwa Nederland B.V.
