It is with this in mind that irmaster develops and presents irmaster energy-efficient and low-noise individual ventilation systems for homes and comfort ventilation. With irmaster s efficient ventilation systems, the building s energy consumption is reduced and the comfort level is increased. irmaster s product range is: irmaster M decentralized ventilation systems designed for comfort ventilation. irmaster CV built-in semi-decentralized ventilation systems for apartment and comfort ventilation. cityvent CV is the name of irmaster s range of semi-decentralised ventilation systems for installation above a suspended ceiling. The CV range consists of a CV 80 model and soon also a CV 200 model and a CV 1000 model. The CV 80 and CV 200 models have been developed in accordance with our CityVent TM concept, making them particularly suitable for individual energy efficient ventilation in low-rise residential developments and multi-storey buildings. CV 1000 is particularly suitable for energy efficient ventilation in comfort rooms such as classrooms, institutions, offices, etc. CV 80 and CV 200 are individual systems which save on energy and only ventilate as required in the specific home/ apartment. This prevents energy being wasted and minimises installation and operating costs. The systems are constructed using the most energy-efficient quality components available on the market. Despite this, we have succeeded in introducing irmaster CV systems at competitive prices. This avoids pressure drops and installation costs associated with large duct shafts. LOW ENERGY CONSUMPTION The CV range is supplied with the latest EC engine technology and countercurrent heat exchangers, ensuring one of the very lowest energy consumptions on the market. PPLICTION The CV range comes in various sizes. CV 80 for smaller homes of up to 50 m 2, the larger CV 200 for homes up to 130 m 2 and the CV 1000 for classrooms, offices, etc. LOW NOISE LEVEL The CV range for homes is as quiet as it is efficient. The noise level during operation reaches a maximum of 30 db(). The compact construction and a height of just 27 cm makes irmaster CV an extremely flexible ventilation solution. UTOMTIC CONTROL DEVICES The CV range is supplied with tried and tested automatic control devices, ensuring problem-free operation, even under the most difficult conditions. In larger buildings, the automatic control devices can be connected to central operation control. Ventilation is performed as required and the build-up of damp can be prevented via an installed moisture sensor. BYPSS ND NIGHT TIME COOLING s standard, the CV range is supplied with a builtin bypass to let cooling fresh air into the building during the summer. The CV range also has built-in automatic night time cooling with adjustable temperature level. 4 5

4 Ventilation has never been more important New energy efficient buildings are insulated amazingly well. This is good for your heating bill, but can have a negative impact on the indoor climate if ventilation has not been incorporated into the building. When buildings are constructed with tighter insulation to maintain the energy limits, there is a huge risk of consequential damage as a result of a poor indoor climate. poor indoor climate is best avoided by regular airing. The best and cheapest way to achieve this is by controlled ventilation and recovering the heat. GOOD INDOOR CLIMTE FOR LESS THN DKK 1. DY USER CCESS Before, a poor indoor climate was often avoided because the building was not naturally perfectly insulted, but this also required more energy to heat and maintain a comfortable temperature. The combination of heating and airing kept the humidity down. In recent years there has been an increased focus on energy consumption and we now insulate our homes better to avoid heat loss. Problems with mould can often occur in parts of the building in which it is difficult to retrofit insulation and the places where there is inadequate airing. VOID MOULD typical consequence of inadequate airing is often mould forming in the building, which is very unhealthy for people living there but also very expensive to eliminate. irmaster ventilation systems are some of the most energy efficient on the market. This means that they also have some of the lowest operating costs on the market. Renovation and maintenance costs are also minimised, resulting from a poor indoor climate, as living conditions and work efficiency are improved. Note: Calculations are based on a CV 80 in a normal Danish reference year, 80 m 3 /h and constant operation. Other calculation conditions may be requested from irmaster /S. 6 HOUSE DUST MITES House dust mites are another consequence of a poor indoor climate. House dust mites thrive in rooms where the air humidity level is high. t worst, house dust mites are an allergen. The most efficient prevention is a relative humidity of under 45% during the winter months. Ventilation reduces the humidity and ensures a healthy and comfortable indoor climate. 7

YOUTH HOUSING PROJECT For example, CV 80 is installed in a youth housing project with 175 apartments, which were built in accordance with the 2020 building class. Strict energy requirements needed to be maintained as well as the building being constructed as optimally as possible. CV 80 was chosen because it could save on operating and building costs. In addition to the extremely low energy consumption and the high efficiency of the heat exchanger, advisors and building owners made the summary assessment that the following benefits were to be derived from using the CV 80: FLEXIBLE INTERIOR DESIGN CV 80 is supplied with a patent pending flexible connection cube, meaning there are no bends near the unit, thereby making installation cheaper and easier. 7 IRMSTER Controlling the indoor climate In high-efficiency modern ventilation systems, there is a range of vitally important control processes, that need to be managed in order to avoid operational problems. CONDENSTION With heat recovery reaching as high as 95%, exhaust air is cooled significantly in the countercurrent heat exchanger. However, this can lead to condensation in the exchanger. Condensation is collected in a condensation trough (standard). The collected condensation is pumped away by the standard installation condensation pump into a drain in the building. In the event of a pump malfunction and a consequential high level of condensation, a float switch in the condensation trough sends an alarm to the controller. This starts a short process whereby an attempt is made to remove the condensation by increasing the extraction and stopping the airflow. If this is unsuccessful, the system controller will shut down and a condensation alarm will sound on the control panel. FROST PROTECTION t very low outdoor temperatures, the exhaust temperature of the countercurrent heat exchanger can fall so low that the condensation inside it turns to ice. Before this happens, the controller starts a process where the extraction airflow is increased and the inlet airflow is reduced. Freezing is prevented by increasing the exchanger s exhaust temperature. lternatively, an electrical heating surface can be installed in order to maintain balanced operation in a greater temperature range at low temperatures. t extremely low outdoor temperatures, part of the cold intake air is directed around the exchanger with the aid of the bypass damper and onto a heating surface which can heat the air to the desired inlet temperature. This way, the discharge air is cooled less in the exchanger and freezing is prevented. FOR LOW INLET IRFLOW TEMPERTURE If the desired inlet airflow temperature cannot be maintained at low outdoor temperatures, the controller automatically reduces the inlet airflow and increases extraction. By doing this, the inlet airflow temperature rises again to the desired level. lternatively, an electrical heating surface can be installed. The heating surface heats the inlet airflow air after the exchanger if the temperature is under the desired inlet airflow temperature. This ensures high levels of comfort from the system. The controller continuously checks the temperature in the system and post heating is therefore only activated when needed. The CV range is equipped with high-efficiency countercurrent heat exchangers which ensure an extremely high level of heat recovery. Because of this, the heating surface is only used to even out the minimal heating loss from ventilation. UTOMTIC BYPSS The CV range has an automatic bypass built-in as standard. If the inlet airflow and room temperatures rise (e.g. due to strong sunlight) above the desired level, the controller opens the bypass as required. This means that the fresh air is directed around the exchanger and unnecessary heating is avoided. This is especially important for the indoor climate in new airtight homes. NIGHT TIME COOLING FREE COOLING The CV range has an automatic night time cooling function with adjustable temperature level built-in as standard. 12 The built-in countercurrent heat exchanger is shown here. 8 Intuitive operation NEWS New control panel We are introducing a new control panel in the fourth quarter of Main functions of the control panel: Control of airflow Start/stop function Holiday-mode larm function The CV range comes supplied with an intuitive control panel, so that operating adjustments can be performed quickly and easily on the spot. You can also program the unit in line with the kind of operation you want. The control panel has a clear, straightforward LCD display, which indicates status and functions. The controller features an extensive range of functions that come as standard, such as programmable timer, bypass control, night time cooling, basic ventilation and CO 2 dependent airflow regulation and control in relation to the humidity are also possible. The indoor climate room has been designed for all sorts of tests, but it can also be used to visualise the airflow using smoke tests, which can be reviewed by video from the observation corridor, so that your presence does not cause any disturbances. Indoor climate chamber Our 80 m 2 indoor climate chamber is a very flexible space where, in under two hours, you can design a layout for a new system, e.g. a 1:1 simulation of the customer s special conditions. We can design a variable ceiling height from 0 to 4.5 m and an inclined ceiling of optional orientation. In addition, underfloor heating and humidifiers simulate indoor heat and moisture loading. The testing room has been installed up against an outdoor climate chamber. We measure: coustic pressure Temperatures Humidity CO 2 level ir speeds for mixing ventilation and displacement ventilation Testing and development Outdoor climate chamber In the 36 m 2 outdoor climate chamber we can simulate temperatures from approx. -20 C to 40 C with controllable air humidity. This is used to test the operation of systems in a variety of climatic situations. 16 irmaster s ventilation solutions will be the best solutions in energy efficiency and for a healthy indoor climate. That s why we allocate a great deal of our total resources to product development and documentation. In total, more than 10% of our employees work with development and documentation. We cooperate with external universities with new technology, including albord University (U) and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and we take part in several research-based projects concerning efficient decentralized ventilation solutions for the future for the various renewable energy tasks that are present in the current housing stock. Our electronics are EMC tested according to the strictest requirements by recognised laboratories (EMC = Electromagnetic compatibility). ll data during an operating test is recorded in context. This gives us an unparalleled overview of the controller s reactions in various operating conditions. During the analysis of the constant data stream, both the controller s parameters and the product s geometry can be optimised. acoustics Our development department uses acoustic testing and measuring facilities and measures reverberation times, sound pressure levels, noise effect level by frequency band and soundproofing throughout the unit. The testing room is a vibration-free space which was designed in the development department s facilities and is constructed with 150 mm thick concrete walls and ceilings. This dampens external noise. The reverberation time in the indoor climate chamber can be varied and can reproduce a time from approx. 0.4 s to 1.0 s. In order to avoid vertical waves, the room has been created with non-parallel walls. The maximum disturbance from e.g. heavy traffic is a maximum of 0.3 db() with little effect and the special design results in a minimal background noise level. 17

11 Components for the CV range Options: Standard: The irmaster CV range is a technological advance within energy efficient ventilation for small homes and apartments. CO 2 SENSOR is used as an efficient energy saving system demand control that automatically adapts the ventilation level to the CO 2 load in each individual room. Can be supplied for room installation or built-in to the system. EC MOTORS built-in to the EPP construction. Efficient EC motors help to deliver a total energy consumption (SFP) < approx. 950 joule/m 3 including duct counterpressure. The motors can be regulated independently of each other. COUNTERCURRENT HET EXCHNGER with documented efficiency of up to approx. 85% according to EN 308 and up to 95% with condensation. Control panel irmaster CV is supplied with an intuitive control panel, so that operating adjustments can be performed quickly and easily on the spot. PIR/MOTION SENSOR ensures low energy consumption by only starting up the ventilation if motion is detected in the room. The delay can be set at any time using the controller.
