5 Self-Diagnosis by Remote Controller (Residential Air-conditioner) In case of ARC447A [Chec Method] With the wireless remote supplied with the unit, or sold separately, malfunction s by failure diagnosis can be confirmed. (Press timer cancel down for 5 seconds continuously.) Timer cancel. Hold the timer cancel down for 5 seconds, with the remote set toward the indoor unit. 2. The display on the remote changes to the error display and a long beep notifies this indication change. Note: To cancel indication of malfunction, hold the timer cancel down for 5 seconds. The display also cancels itself if the is not pressed for minute. In case of ARC455A, ARC452A, ARC433B, ARC423A, ARC47A [Chec Method ]. When the timer cancel is held down for 5 ON seconds, a indication flashes on the display section. 2. Press the timer cancel repeatedly until a continuous beep is produced. The indication changes in the sequence shown below, and notifies with a long beep. <In case of ARC433B7, 8, 9, 7> No Code U4 F3 E L5 A E5 F C9 U0 E7 No Code C7 H8 J3 A3 A C4 C5 H9 J A5 SENSOR POWERFUL MODE QUIET ON OFF TEMP FAN COMFORT TIMER [Chec Method 2]. Press the 3 s (TEMP, TEMP, MODE) simultaneously to enter the diagnosis mode. SWING CANCEL Note:. A short beep and two consecutive beeps indicate noncorresponding s. 2. To cancel the display, hold the timer cancel down for 5 seconds. The display also cancels itself if the is not pressed for minute. The figure of the ten's place blins. Diagnose by the sound. pi : The figure of the ten's place does not accord with the malfunction. pi pi : The figure of the ten's place accords with the error but the one's not. beep : The both figures of the ten's and one's place accord with the malfunction. 4. Press the MODE. The figure of the one s place blins. 5. Press the TEMP. Press TEMP or and change the figure until you hear the sound of beep.. Diagnose by the sound. pi : The figure of the ten's place does not accord with the malfunction. pi pi : The figure of the ten's place accords with the error but the one's not. beep : The both figures of the ten's and one's place accord with the error. 7. Determine the malfunction. The digits indicated when you hear the beep sound are error. 8. Press the MODE to exit from the diagnosis mode. The display 7- means the trial operation mode. 9. Press the twice to return to the normal mode. Note: When the remote is left untouched for 0 seconds, it returns to the normal mode.

6 Self-Diagnosis by Remote Controller (SyAir, ) <Wired Remote Controller> In case of BRCC2. If operation stops due to malfunction, the remote 's operation LED blins, and malfunction is displayed. 2. Even if stop operation is carried out, malfunction contents are displayed when the inspection mode is entered. * While in chec mode, pressing and holding the for a period of four seconds or more will clear the malfunction history. (The malfunction will blin, and the operation mode will switch from chec mode to normal mode.) Press Inspection / Test Operation once. Inspection mode display In case of BRCE. If operation stops due to malfunction, the remote 's operation indicator blins. The massage "Error: Press Menu Button" will appear at the bottom of the screen. 2. Press "Menu/Enter", malfunction will be displayed. * Press "Menu/Enter", malfunction history is displayed in "Main Menu" mode. The malfunction can be determined by following the procedure described below.. Press the INSPECTION/TEST to select Inspection. The equipment enters the inspection mode. The Unit indication lights and the Unit No. display shows flashing 0 indication. 2. Set the Unit No. Press the UP or DOWN and change the Unit No. display until the buzzer (*) is generated from the indoor unit. * Number of beeps 3 short beeps : Conduct all of the following operations. short beep : Conduct steps 3 and 4. Continue the operation in step 4 until a buzzer remains ON. The continuous buzzer indicates that the malfunction is confirmed. Continuous beep : No abnormality. 3. Press the MODE selector. The left 0 (upper digit) indication of the malfunction flashes. 4. upper digit diagnosis Press the UP or DOWN and change the malfunction upper digit until the malfunction matching buzzer (*2) is generated. The upper digit of the changes as shown below when the UP and DOWN s are pressed. *2 Number of beeps Continuous beep : Both upper and lower digits matched. ( confirmed) 2 short beeps : Upper digit matched. short beep : Lower digit matched. 5. Press the MODE selector. The right 0 (lower digit) indication of the malfunction flashes.. lower digit diagnosis Press the UP or DOWN and change the malfunction lower digit until the continuous malfunction matching buzzer (*2) is generated.
