5 INSERTING/REMOVING THE BATTERIES The battery casing is located in the back of the device. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the cover. Insert 2 alkaline AA batteries aligned as shown on the inside of the casing (Fig.1) and then close the casing again. If the device should stay unused for long periods or should the batteries go flat, remove the batteries from the device. This will also help to prolong their life. Fig. 1 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING BATTERIES The device works with a 2 AA batteries (included). Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use. Replace all battery of a set at the same time Clean the battery compartment by blowing away any debris prior to battery installation. Ensure the batteries are installed correclty with regard to polarity (+ and -). Ensure the batteries from equipment that is not be used for an extended period of time. When batteries begin to fail, remove promptly.

Pick a section of hair and comb through Split the section into two Press the button to raise the hair clip (Fig.2). Place the end of one of the two sections under the hair clip and release the button so that the section of hair is held firmly by the hair clip. Fig. 2 Do exactly the same to secure the second hair section under the other hair clip. Line the InstaTwist up so it is in line with the length of the hair sections (Fig. 3). Hold the device slightly away from your head and stretch out the hair. Fig. 3

7 Turn the InstaTwist on to position I. The hair clips rotate, twisting the hair (Fig.4). Fig. 4 Once the hair sections have been twisted and curled over their entire length, return the InstaTwist to position 0. Now turn the InstaTwist on to position II. The head pivots, twisting the two sections of hair together (Fig. 5). Fig. 5 Once the twisting action is finished, return the device to position 0, and release the hair sections from the hair clips by pressing the push buttons. Place a polyband in the hair to hold the twist in place.
