4 Ze Ctrol Versi.0 The is an intelligent, microprocessor based, expansi module ze ctrol for the 000 series ctrols, or stand ale ze ctrol. The is capable of ctrolling up to 4 zes per ctrol, and can handle for virtually any number of zes. The allows for pump or valve ctrol, and is capable of enabling demands a boiler. The layout of the ctrol makes for easy wiring and simple setup, allowing for quick installati and minimal -site time. The tank temperature must be within 5 F of the setpoint for the ze to open. -If there is a call for heat, then the heat call goes away and the tank is still hot, the ze ctrol will keep the ze open to utilize all of the heat in the tank. These can be a Heating and Cooling demand, 4VAC ctact, dry ctact TT for a boiler, or DHW demand. These are the outputs for the ze device. This can be a pump or a valve depending what power is supplied to terminals -. This is a dry ctact output that can be used for a system pump. This ctact will activate any time a ze comes. This input is to power the. 0.5 Amps at 0 VAC is required to power this device. Input Power Ze Power This input is used to power the ze outputs and is rated for 40VAC, 0VAC or 4VAC. These outputs are used to power the thermostats and are rated for 4VAC at 6VA. These terminals are used for cnecting thermostat inputs, and can be dry ctact inputs or 4VAC 4 5 Ze-0500 Manual Page 4

8 Ze Ctrol Versi.0 The has two sets of dip switches that allow the user to better match the output of the ctrol with the installati. The dip switch settings have different functis, depending if the is used as an expansi module with an ECO-000, a CPU-000, or as a standale ze ctrol. Dip switches -4 the left set of dip switches are used for setting up ze priorities and ze post purge time. Dip switches -5 the right set of dip switches correspd to zes -4, and dipswitch is used to modify the type of demand signal sent to the main ctroller when used as an expansi module with the CPU-000. Left Dip switches Right Dip switches OFF Positi ON Positi The left Dip Switches are used for setting up ze priorities and the ze device (pump or Valve) the ctrol will use. The right Dip Switches are used for setting up DHW priority and heat demands, heating or cooling demands and high temp or low temp demands. - Ze-0500 Manual Page 6

9 Ze Ctrol Versi.0 Ze Pumps. The ze ctrol will post purge the zes for 60 secds. The ctrol will also excercise the pumps every 7 hours. Ze Valves. If this is selected, there will be no post purge time, and the system pump output will be after a period of 60 secds. No sequential priority Sequential priority. This dip switch positi allows the user to prioritize ze over over 3 over 4. No dual ze priority. Dual Ze Priority. This dip switch positi allows the user to set dual ze priority for zes and over zes 3 and 4. No Module priority Module priority. 10 STAND ALONE UNIT The right Dip Switches are used for setting up DHW priority and heat demands Ze Ctrol Versi.0 No DHW priority DHW Priority. This dip switch positi allows the user to set up a temporary DHW priority ze over the priority over the modules. This positi will allow the user to set up each ze for heating. 11 The right Dip Switches are used for setting up DHW priority and heat demands Ze Ctrol Versi.0 No DHW priority This Dip Switch allows the ze ctrols to receive a DHW priority from the CPU-000. If DHW is the CPU- 000 it will shut off all the zes the s. STAGING MODE The dip switches must be set to OFF MIXING MODE Low Temperature Demand Ze. This dip switch set up allows the user to program Low Temperature Zes. High Temperature Demand Ze. This dip switch set up allows the user to program High Temperature Zes. Ze-0500 Manual Page 9

12 ECO-000 The right Dip Switches are used for setting up Heating or Cooling zes. Ze Ctrol Versi.0 With this set up, the zes can be set to either Heating or Cooling Heating OR Cooling Heating & Cooling OR Heating Only This setting allows the zes to be set to either Heating or Heating and Cooling. DIP SET TO OFF This setting will allow the user to set up the ze for heating. This setting will allow the user to set up the ze for cooling. 19 Ze Ctrol Versi.0 Ctrols warrants each of its products to be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service for a period of 4 mths from date of manufacture or mths from date of purchase from an Authorized Dealer, if within the above documented period after date of manufacture. If the product proves to be defective within the applicable warranty period, its sole discreti will repair or replace defective product. Replacement product need not be of identical design or model. Any repair or replacement product pursuant to this warranty shall be warranted for not less than 90 days from date of such repair, irrespective of any earlier expirati of original warranty period. The package must be mailed or otherwise shipped back to with all costs of mailing/shipping/insurance prepaid by the warranty claimant.
