Clean Paper Newspaper, inserts, magazines, catalogs & phone books Advertising mail, envelopes & mixed paper Paperback books Cereal & dry food boxes (remove liners) Clean paper cups Non-foil wrapping paper Flattened cardboard (3 x3 x3 or smaller) Cartons, frozen food & juice boxes Clean Plastic Clean plastic food containers & cups Clean Glass Plastic bottles (all colors - no hazardous waste containers) Metal Milk, juice & pop bottles (caps on) Pill bottles (non-prescription) Don t recycle plastic bags in your cart; they can t be sorted easily at the recycling facility. Instead, find local grocery stores to recycle them at PlasticFilmRecycling.org Bottles & jars (empty and rinse; labels OK) Scrap metal (2 x2 x2 or smaller) Clean aluminum & metal cans (empty, clean and dry) CONTAINER SIZE OPTIONS: 32-gallon, 64-gallon, 96-gallon How to prepare: Do NOT bag or box recyclables - leave loose. No food, liquid, or plastic bags. Got extras? Put extra recyclables next to your recycling cart in sturdy bins, boxes, large paper bags, or 32-gallon cans marked Recycle. Each extra container must weigh less than 60 lbs.

Holiday trees (No flocking or decorations; max. 6 tall) Yard Waste Keep small container near kitchen sink Add food scraps and food-soiled paper When full, empty into your gray organics cart Get a free compostable bag sample by visiting RecycleFood.com Food Scraps Grass clippings, weeds, leaves, tree branches, twigs & roots Houseplants (no pots) Dairy products (cheese, yogurt, etc.) Coffee filters & grounds, tea bags & tea leaves Meat, fish, poultry, bones & shells Fruit & vegetable scraps, leftovers, Halloween pumpkins Bread, pasta & grains Eggshells & nutshells Food-Soiled Paper Uncoated paper plates, cups, food wrap & bags (paper should have dull surface) Paper grocery bags, egg & berry cartons Greasy pizza boxes, paper towels & napkins CONTAINER SIZE OPTIONS: 32-gallon, 64-gallon, 96-gallon How to prepare: No plastic or biodegradable bags. Use only approved compostable bags. For local retailers, visit RecycleFood.com No pet waste, kitty litter or commercial yard waste. Got extras? Put extra yard or untreated wood waste in paper lawn bags or sturdy containers labeled Yard or bundle them with natural twine (max. 4 x2 ). 5 What Do I Do With...? Carefully prepare & place on top of your recycling cart Fluorescent bulbs & tubes (wrap in newspaper, secure with tape & label Fluorescent Tubes. Place bulbs in sealed bags). Batteries: alkaline, button & rechargeable (put rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries into separate, sealed, clear bags) Used cooking oil (fats, oil & grease). Seal in clear, plastic bottle with screw top lid. Place next to your recycling cart and call for a FREE pickup Rigid plastics (5-gallon buckets, PVC pipe, plastic lawn furniture, coolers, Big Wheels, Nalgene bottles, etc.) Small household appliances Large scrap metal (<5% non-metal parts) Wood waste, untreated & unpainted. Place in cardboard box & label Wood Waste. Place next to your recycling cart and call for a FEE-BASED pickup Large appliances (fridges, dryers, ovens, water heaters, etc.) Bulky items (mattresses, couches, furniture, etc.) Want to Recycle Something Else? Containers must be 2 apart and at least 3 from cars, bushes, mailboxes, etc. with at least 14 of overhead clearance. Place containers as close to the curb as possible; no further than 5 from the curb. Set containers out with handle towards house. Remove containers as soon as possible after collection. 14 CLEARANCE ABOVE CONTAINER GARBAGE ORGANICS RECYCLING Bad Weather & Dangerous Conditions. If your garbage or recycling are missed due to inclement weather, they will be collected Saturday. Organics will be collected on your next service day.
