ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION 3.1 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS In order to get the best effect and functioning of the appliance, please operate according to following instructions carefully. Failure to do this may result in mechanical failure or even more serious damage to persons, animals and property. 3.2 POSITIONING OF THE APPLIANCE In order to get the best operation and to avoid any risks or failure, positioning of the appliance should be in accordance with following diagram (Figure 4): - 5 -

Fig4 1. When the unit is to be installed high on the wall, the distance from bottom of unit to floor should be no less than 2m and no more than 3m. The distance from side panel to wall should be no less than 150mm. 2. When the unit is to be installed low on the wall, the distance from the bottom of unit to floor should ideally be no more than 300mm and no less than 100mm. The distance from side panel to wall should be no less than 150mm. 3. The wall that supports the unit must be strong enough to withstand the weight of unit. The fixings should be chosen so as to be suitable for the type of wall particularly hollow walls. It is the installer s responsibility to check carefully and use suitable fixings for the appliance. 4. Leave enough space around the unit for operation and maintenance. 5. Keep the area around air inlets completely clear to avoid any restriction of air flow, especially within 0.2m range of the air outlet area, otherwise it will cause abnormal noise from the unit during operation The chosen installation wall must be an outside wall. Note: Before starting work ensure the correct positioning for the unit. Double check the wall and confirm the wall is suitable to drill through. Take particular care that the wall does not contain other services such as lights, wiring, water or gas pipes etc Before unit installation, it is necessary to double check the room size for the unit and precisely calculate the heat load in summer and cooling load in winter that the heat pump unit will have to manage for the room. Precise calculation will optimize the unit function and help understand which potential - 6 -

factors would influence the unit performance. In order to make sure the unit has the maximum possible effect, the following are recommendations: - Keep the room as well sealed as possible, i.e no open windows and minimum ventilation necessary. - Do not use high power electrical appliances in the room if cooling is required. - Keep direct sunshine out of the room if cooling is required. 3.3 INSTALLATION Drill the hole through the wall Use suitable tools (for example a core drill and large percussion/impact drill) that will help make installation as efficient as possible, avoid excessive damage to the wall and avoid inconvenience to the user or others.. Drill the wall according to instructions below. 1. Stick the installation drawing (Figure 5) to the correct position on wall with adhesive tape, the position should be in accordance with the dimensions given in section 3.2 Positioning the appliance. Fig5 2. Mark the centre point of each hole to be drilled by using a pen, small drill or punch. 3. Use masonry drill to make holes - Note: Hole position should comply with drawing. For small holes use φ13mm drill, drilling approximately 60mm deep. For the large holes, pilot drill and then open out to φ165mm right through the wall. The large holes must have a downward inclination of 3-5 degrees, to avoid water flow backwards. (Figure 6 )

Indoor Outdoor Fig6 During the drilling operation make sure that all debris falling outside of the property does not fall anywhere that may cause a danger to persons or property, particularly is installing on the upper floors of a building. When the drill is less than 50mm from the outside, reduce drilling speed and pressure to reduce risk of large amounts of breakthrough debris. If accessible, the drilling can re-commence from outside of the wall to give a very accurate and clean finish to the outside wall edges. If the wall is not hard or strong enough, reinforce it by other methods such as a metal wall plate etc. Warning: Any resultant damage due to improper installation and operation is not the responsibility of the manufacturer. Operation and installation according to instruction manual is therefore essential to avoid any unnecessary damage to persons or property Exhaust Air Duct Spring and Exhaust Cover Assembly Drill the hole accurately, clean out and then put exhaust air duct inside the hole. Finish to the assembly drawing as follows (Figure 7) Fig 7 1. Wall 2. Spring retainer 3. Exhaust Air Duct. 4. Exhaust Air Duct Cover 1. The length of exhaust air duct should be 5mm less than the wall thickness. Cut off the surplus as required. 2. Use a hammer to knock the exhaust air duct into wall if required (Figure 8) - 8 -

- 9 - Fig 8

3. Put the spring retainer ring into wall and use 2 off ST5x16 screws to fix in place, please note - put the 2 screws on the horizontal line (Figure 9) Fig 9 4. Take the exhaust air duct cover and hook the retaining springs on to the spring retiner ring installed as above. Angling the cover sideways as per fig 10, push it through the air duct and allow it to fit back into the exhaust air duct with spring retaining pressure (Figure 10) 5. Assemble the other tube using the same method. Fig10 Note: Do not look into air ducts when stretching the cover retaining springs to avoid eyes or face being struck in the unlikely event that a spring breaks or comes adrift. Wear the safety goggles used for drilling operations. Extend springs gently and gradually to avoid damage INSTALL THE UNIT MOUNTING BRACKET 1. Knock the wall plugs into the drilled 13mm holes in the wall; 2. Put the mounting bracket in the correct position and fix it with at least 4 screws.( Figure 11) Fig INSTALL THE UNIT ONTO MOUNTING BRACKET. Make sure the mounting bracket is well secured on to the wall and the necessary electrical connections are made. Now hang the unit onto the mounting bracket. Note: When mounting the heating and cooling model, please connect the atomization device tube before finally hanging the unit onto hook. (Figure 15)

1. Hold the bottom of unit then lift it up. ( Figure 12) Fig12 2. Hang the square hole at the back panel of unit onto hanging hooks. Incline unit slightly for easy assembly on to bracket (Figure 13) Fig13 3. The unit will now will hang onto the wall as per (Figure 14) Fig14 4.
