5 7 TIPS & TRICKS If the ph is not between 7 and 9, thoroughly rinse your floor again. Pick up with wet pick up vacuum. Use stripping mops only for stripping. Do not let dirty solution dry onto floor. Do not splash stripping solution onto surfaces such as doors, walls, cabinets. If you do, wipe with a clean cloth or wiper. Measure humidity in porous floors, such as linoleum, to secure that the floor material is dry before applying finish. Allow floor to dry completely before applying sealer and finish. Use an old section of the walk off matting to place equipment (buckets, floor mops) in order to help keep area clean. STEP : FLOOR PREPARATION ) Remove furniture and vacuum walk-off mats. ) Remove sticky residue (gum and other adhesives) with a putty knife and/or gum remover. ) Dust mop the work area. ) If there is a section with floor finish that you do not want to strip then place a towel saturated with water to that area. ) Place WET FLOOR signs at both ends of work area. Put on personal protective equipment. 6) In one bucket, dilute stripper solution according to use directions. In second bucket, fill with clear water or neutralizer solution. 7 STEP : STRIPPING Work in manageable area (0 ft x 0 ft -.08 m x.08 m). Start by the furthest section of the floor and work backwards. Avoid splashing stripper solution on baseboard and walls. Place mats at exit points so that wet shoes can be wiped off instead of tracking stripper solution into other areas. Flip or change pads often and wipe baseboard with a clean cloth as required. ) Apply a generous amount of stripper solution to work area. Let dwell for -0 minutes (do not let the solution dry on the floor). ) Using a scraper or a Doodlebug TM, completely detail the edges. ) Using a rotary single disc floor machine (low RPM) with appropriate pad, scrub area until all finish is removed. Flip or change pads and wipe baseboard with a clean cloth as required. STEP : RINSING ) Pick up dirty solution with wet vacuum, mop or autoscrubber. Do not allow dirty solution to dry. ) Rinse floor thoroughly with clean mop and cold water. Use neutralizer if required. ) Using ph test strips, confirm ph of floor. Repeat #, if needed. Allow floor to completely dry before refinishing ph 7 FLOOR CARE

7 TIPS & TRICKS Apply Avmor sealer before Avmor floor finish when it is needed. Always allow 0 minutes drying time per coat before using a floor blower. Do not pour unused finish back into container. Always make sure the wringer is very clean. When you are finished sealing, discard the plastic garbage bag and install a new one. Be sure to thoroughly rinse mop clean. On-site environmental conditions such as air flow, temperature and humidity can extend the drying time. If mop begins to drag turn the mop over to the opposite side and repeat. Always use clean equipment. STEP : FLOOR SEALING & FLOOR FINISHING ) Verify that the floor is dry, clean, and that all old finish has been removed. ) Place WET FLOOR signs and put on personal protective equipment. ) Place a plastic garbage bag inside a clean mop bucket and fill with Avmor sealer or finish. ) Saturate the mop head and then wring out the excess finish. Your mop should be well-saturated but not dripping. ) Edge a manageable area (0 ft x 0 ft -.08 m x.08 m) section with an Avmor sealer or finish. Then fill area using the figure 8 motion. 6) Allow to dry between each coat (usually 0 minutes under normal conditions. After 0 minutes you may turn on the floor blower. Angle floor blower upward.).
