2 A New Concept New packaged air handling units OnePlus series are the latest offspring of Apen Group s experience. These units have been designed and developed to guarantee top installation flexibility inside or outside the buildings where air conditioning is required. The pulsing heart of OnePlus units is their modulating heat generator, including a premixed burner with low NOx output and double inlet centrifugal fans. Available heads range from 200 to 400 Pa, thus allowing maximum flexibility in designing highly articulated ducted systems. System Modularity The total heat requirement can be split across multiple units, thereby making the installation convenient and rational: heat output can be managed on an area basis, and new units can be installed if additional requirements arise. Cooling Units Cooling coils can be installed on OnePlus units to meet comfort requirements both in winter and summer. Why OnePlus? Clean Combustion The burners installed in OnePlus units fully premix air and gas. A regulating heat output device is also installed. This results in: - No emissions of carbon monoxide (CO = 0). - Very low emission of nitrogen oxides, below 30 parts per million (NO x < 30 ppm). - Low emission of carbon dioxide, thanks to high combustion efficiency and reduction of fuel consumption due to heat output modulation. Models and Configurations Ductable packaged air handling units series OnePlus are available in two configurations: PLA - for indoor installation PLE - for outdoor installation Low NO x premix burner Indoor installation Fuel Savings up to 30% High combustion efficiency, up to 94 % (on net calorific value), continuous modulation of heat output, and minimized stratification of warm air allow fuel savings up to 30%, in comparison to traditional ON- OFF heating systems. Flexibility in Installation OnePlus units are highly versatile and ideal for any kind of installation, thanks to their heads, ranging from 200 to 400 Pa, and to the possibility of installing mixing boxes to create free cooling and recirculation of air. EASE OF INSTALLATION The equipment only needs to be connected to gas supply and wired to single-phase 230V 50 Hz m power supply. Outdoor installation Available Static Pressures Moreover, for any outdoor or indoor configuration, the user can choose the required static pressure among the available values: 200 Pa or 400 Pa.

3 Technical Features Every part of our OnePlus air handling units has been attentively designed and carefully tested in Apen Group s R&D Centre to develop and obtain a topquality, highly-reliable product. Furnace & Heat Exchanger Furnace and air/flue exchanger are entirely built with mild stainless steel (low carbon content) to assures maximum reliability and long life cycle. The drop-shaped furnace and the air/flue exchanger, whose tube bundle is custom designed, guarantee performance that place OnePlus units among the leaders for heat efficiency, with an outstanding value of 94 %. Heat exchanger and combustion chamber AIR/GAS MIX: GUARANTEED SAFETY An advanced technique for mixing air and gas guarantees total safety. The gas valve delivers gas based on air flow rate, according to a ratio set by the Manufacturer. If combustion air fails, the gas valve closes. If combustion air decreases, the valve automatically reduces gas flow while maintaining optimum combustion parameters FAN ASSEMBLY Depending on unit capacity, the fan assembly includes a single or double centrifugal fan rotating at low RPM speed, to reduce noisiness. Double inlet fans are statically and dynamically balanced and are belt-driven by electrical motors. PREMIX BURNER The burner is entirely made of AISI 430 steel and undergoes specific engineering processing that guarantee top reliability and high thermal-mechanical performance. ELECTRONIC CARD The microprocessor-based electronic card regulates continuous modulation of heat output and controls both the electrical fan for air/gas mixing and the gas valve. SAFETY AND CONTROL DEVICES The following devices are installed in OnePlus units: 1. Safety thermostat with manual reset and positive safety 2. Electronic ignition device for the burner and ionisation flame control device 3. Ignition and flame detection electrodes

4 Accessories OnePlus air handling units can include, upon request, filters, mixing boxes, dampers and conditioning units. Accessories In addition, the following optional devices are available to control the equipment STANDARD REMOTE CONTROL CHRONOTHERMOSTAT FILTER AND MIXING BOX Mixing box is designed in order to allow various configurations, and it can be equipped with shutter on all sides. It is equipped with G3 class cell filter and it can be supplied with G4 class filter on demand. The chronothermostat allows you to control and display working phases and possible failures. It also allows changing setup parameters using the electronic card installed in the unit. These are the available functions of the card: Timer Room Thermostat Control Panel Remote Lock and Unlock Signals Check Control of Working Parameters COOLING COILS OnePlus air heaters can be coupled with cooling coils working with cooled water or direct expansion. Quality and Certified Performance APEN GROUP s corporate system was certified by ISO VISION 2000 as to design, manufacturing, marketing, and servicing areas. Our products are CE marked. Their conformity has been assessed by severe tests to guarantee that our OnePlusunits provide: - Certified Performance - Certified Security - Total safety, both for the user and the environment

5 KONDENSA.NET software For his own OnePlus heaters, Apen Group has developed a program for management named Kondensa.net with the objective to permit an easy check of working on, of records of temperatures, of the remote maintenance of the appliances and of the consumptions, eliminating any chronothermostats, remote controls or programming clocks. It is sufficient to cable the modulating card, with only two cables, to a computer, at distances up to 1100 meters without need of signal amplifier. In the configuration phase, it is possible to divide in groups/areas (building or departments), the heaters that the user wants to manage at different timing and temperatures. Once the configuration is made, the user disposes of a control panel with a great deal of information. For each defined area, it is possible to monitor the working modes of each heater, represented by different icons. 1 FIG. 1 For each group, making double click on the clock of the group, it is possible to manage and visualize the working calendar with the different setting: installation OFF heating ON ventilation ON antifreeze function ON FIG. 2 For each day of the week (fig.2) it is possible to set the ON-hour and the OFF-hour, eventual intervals and the desired room temperature. The managing program Kondensa.net has been developed with three safety levels, with access through password: Operator, Technical and Service. Each level is habilitated for defined activities or simply visualisations. This contributes to assure the highest protection of the managing system. 3
