The electrical cord, which is pre-wired to the pump, plugs into port P1 (orange) on the heater controller. Please remember that drainage or water diversion drain from the front panel is required. Important notice: If your pool or equipment will be subjected to freezing temperatures, special consideration must be given to the jet system in order to avoid freezing of the plumbing lines. Your heater/controller is programmed to automatically circulate the jet plumbing lines four times a day. This circulation reduces the likelihood that the plumbing lines will freeze. Once your pool s installation is complete and the panels are in an enclosed space, additional insulation of the siding material will help keep the warm air radiating from your pool panels in the enclosed space, which is where both your jet pump and jet plumbing lines are located. Having your jet plumbing line run within the space of your bottom flange of your panels is necessary for proper protection from freezing. Additionally, the heater controller comes equipped with a smart winter mode (SWM). When the SWM is enabled, the system will automatically turn the pump on to ensure that there is warm water moving through the plumbing lines. As per the Endless Pools Owner s Manual, the hydrotherapy jet suction thru-wall fittings will have been installed by this point (as detailed in Section 11. Thru-Wall Connections Part 1 or Section 13. Thru-Wall Connections Part 2). The suction plumbing assembly must now be installed so that you can continue filling the pool. Refer to Figure 1 of this for the plumbing configuration. Make sure to install a FPT x female slip ball valve onto each suction thru-wall fitting. Ideally the 1-1/2 Tee is centered between the fittings, although this is not necessary. When this plumbing assembly is complete, close the ball valve (this will allow you to continue filling the pool). 2. Continue filling the pool, as per the Endless Pools Owner s Manual. One the water level is 3 below the lowest jet fitting, cut the hole in the liner for this fitting.

3 Page 3 of 6 3. Temporarily secure the jet bodies and bulkheads to the pool. This will allow for accurate measuring for the 1/2 pipe. Cut lengths of the 1/2" PVC pipe for the air supply to each jet. The air pipes for the lower jets may require elbows to clear the jets and piping above. Once installed, the open top of the air supply must be sufficiently above the water line to prevent spill over. The pipe should be terminated 1/4" below the top flange of the pool panel. The 1/2" air supply tubes should be cemented to the jet bodies first, in an inverted position, with the jet internals removed, to prevent dripping of PVC cement or cleaner into the air passages. Once you have all of the 1/2 pipe cut and glued into their respective jet bodies remove the jets from the pool wall. Make sure to note the position of each jet. 4. Now, permanently install the jet bodies. A small bead of silicone should be placed on both sides of each gasket. Place the clear gasket over the jet bulkhead. Wrap Teflon tape around the threads of the bulkhead. The white gasket should go between the liner and panel on the inside of the pool. Another small bead of silicone on the face of the jet body and seat the jet body against the pool wall. Tighten the bulkhead into the jet body. Use the provided jet tool to tighten the bulkhead. Make sure not to over tighten the bulkhead as it can crack. Plumbing Installation 1. Cut lengths of the 1 1 / 2 " PVC pipe provided to connect to each of the four jets. Three 1 1 / 2 " T's and one elbow should be fabricated to provide a supply piping manifold to coincide with the four jet locations. From each of these four fittings extends 1 1 / 2 " PVC to a union. From the unions, connect to each jet with 1 1 / 2 " PVC and an elbow (lower jets use male slip-female slip street elbows, upper jets use a nipple cut to length and a female slip-female slip elbow). The side of each jet opposite where the supply is connected at the bottom will require a plug. Cement all PVC slip connections following the cement manufacturer's recommendations. 3. Check the 1/2" air supply pipes to make certain that all four are 1/4 below the top flange of the pool wall. Extend or cut these tubes as required. 4. With the four jets and the suction fitting installed, the ball valves and remaining piping back to the jet pump can be installed. Union fittings have been provided on each side of the jet pump to facilitate its removal should service ever be required. The pump will come with the electrical cord pre-wired. The pump should be placed behind the front panel, close enough to the heater controller so that it can be plugged in. The clearance behind finish skirting should be considered when plumbing the jet pump. The jet pump may have to be raised slightly to allow the pump to be placed as close to the pool wall as possible.

4 Page 4 of 6 Section 4: Jet Operation The cord (with attached plug) that has been pre-installed on the jet pump will be installed into the P1 connection on the heater controller. Jet Pump Connection The jets can be turned on by pressing the pump button on the keypad once then, press it a second time to turn off the jets. Before operating the hydrotherapy jets, make certain that both ball valves are open and the plug in the suction fitting has been removed. The protective suction strainer should installed prior to running the jet. It is extremely important that strainer be screwed into the suction fitting assembly. The jet pump will automatically turn on for approximately 1 minute four times daily. This purge cycle prevents water from stagnating inside the jet plumbing lines. The jet pump will also automatically turn on when the heater-controller is in Smart-Winter Mode (SWM). The heater-controller will enter SWM when the ambient temperature around the heater-controller approaches freezing. SWM protects the plumbing lines of the pool from freezing. The closer the temperature is to freezing, the more frequently the pump will come on. SWM indicator on the keypad will be illuminated when the system is in Smart Winter Mode
