2 A)List of equipments and specifications for B. Tech Labs in Dept. of Food Processing Technology. 1. Plate Type Heat Exchanger Specifications: A standalone experimental set up with hot fluid system for laboratory experimentation on heat transfer characteristics of Plate Heat Exchanger. Plate Dimension: 180mm x 100 mm, material: SS 304, No of plates: Min 10, Digital Temp Indicator cum controller, Flow measurement tank, flow control valve, rotameter, Hot and cold fluid temperature measurement facility. 2. Unsteady State Heat Transfer Apparatus Specifications: A standalone experimental set up with digital temp. indicator cum controller, hot oil bath (SS) with heater having temp regulator. Thermocouple fitted at centre of the cylinder, timer for indicating time for temp measurement. 3. Plate & Frame Filter Press: Specifications: Min. 5 no acrylic square block and 2 no of hylum square block. Dimension: Min. 150 sq mm. 3 Specifications: The tray drier should be a standalone experimental set up for laboratory experimentation on drying of wet solids. SIZE: Compartment dimension: 300x300x400 mm or above, No of sample trays: (minimum) four at a time, Capacity: minimum 3kg wet solids, distributed over the trays AIR VELOCITY: Fan/ Blower rating: 80 W or above, with provision for adjusting air velocities in the range of m/s or above. It should be fitted with anemometer with digital display and an accuracy of 0.1 m/s minimum. The anemometer should have velocity range to 1.75 m/s or above. AIR TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY: Heater power adequate to give temperatures from room temperature up to 80 o C or above, and having provision for controlling the air temperature with an accuracy of ±0.1 C. The set up should be fitted with psychrometer for humidity measurement. ONLINE MASS MEASUREMENT: A digital balance mounted on the top of the drying chamber should have the capability of suspending the sample trays (min 4 trays and mass of around 3 kg) and should have an accuracy of 0.01 g. ONLINE DATA LOGGING: Provision should be there for online data logging of wet solid mass, air temperature and air humidity. Essential accessories including the data acquisition soft wares should be indicated and quoted. B) Liquid Nitrogen for 400MHz NMR (Dept. of Chemical Scs) on yearly basis with the following terms and conditions. 1. The party will have to sign an agreement with the Tezpur University 2. The contract will be for one year that will be extended further up to five years on the basis of satisfactory service provided liters of liquid nitrogen should be supplied on every 10 th days for 01 year (36 times) at the Dept. of Chemical Sc., TU without fail. As far as transportation is concerned, it is the responsibility of the concerned party. The same cannot be supplied not more than one day in advance, in that case, Dept. will not accept it. 4. During bandh, holidays etc the party should take necessary measures to ensure the supply without fail. 5. Part payment after every supply will be made on submission of bill and certification from the Dept. of Chemical Sc. 6. The party is supposed to take adequate measures so that the cryo containers are not damaged during handling. 7. The Dept. of Chemical Sc, TU will supply the required cryo cans (55 lit capacity), every time, party supplies the material, one empty cryo can will be taken away by them for next refilling. 8. The party supposed to be in touch with HOD, Chemical Sc for smooth supply of the Liquid Nitrogen.

9 General TERMS & CONDITIONS 1. No separate tender paper will be issued from the office; one should only download the List(s) from the web site. 2. The rates should be quoted on FOR Tezpur University, Napaam basis. 3. Quotations should be accompanied byi. A call deposit (earnest money) amounting to Rs. 5,000/ pledge in favour of the Registrar, Tezpur University, payable at Tezpur. 4. The rates should be exclusive of taxes and applicable tax % should be clearly indicated. 5. Quoted rates should be valid at least for a period of 6 months. 6. The rates should be quoted along with supporting documents of specifications and technical features. 7. Quotations for different departments should be submitted in separate covers. 8. The University is exempted from paying Custom and Excise duty. 9. Proprietary items should be quoted with sole Manufacturer/Distributorship certificate. 10. No Advance payment will be made. However if the item is of foreign origin, advance payment will be made either by FDD or vide LOC. In such cases 10% Performance Bank Guarantee should be submitted before issuing FDD/LOC, covering the warranty period. 11. The University reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the quotations without assigning any reason. 12. Applications should be forwarded to the Registrar for release of call deposit against unaccepted quotations. 13. Without application no EMD will be released. 14.
