Be sure to observe the cautions specified here as they include important items related to safety. Incorrect operation due to ignoring instruction will cause harm or damage. Installation Do not use a defective or underrated circuit breaker. Use this appliance on a dedicated circuit. There is risk of fire or electric shock. 5 Installation Do not install the product where it will be exposed to sea wind (salt spray) directly. It may cause corrosion on the product. Keep level even when installing the product. To avoid vibration or water leakage. Use two or more people to lift and transport the product. Avoid personal injury. Operation Use a soft cloth to clean. Do not use harsh detergents, solvents, etc. There is risk of fire, electric shock, or damage to the plastic parts of the product. Do not step on or put anything on the product. There is risk of personal injury and failure of product. Do not insert hands or other objects into the product while it is operating. There are sharp and moving parts that could cause personal injury. Use a firm stool or ladder when cleaning or maintaining the product. Be careful and avoid personal injury

7 1.1 Single coil Function and construction The Single coil is available in two capacities: 200 and 300 litres. It is a floor standing water heater which is delivered with three adjustable feet. The cold water supply is on top of the heater. The mixing valve and pressure relief valve are factory fitted. The mixing valve also functions as a stop valve towards the cold water supply. Easy draining of the heater with a drain valve on the pressure relief valve which is placed below the electric central. The Single coil has a built-in coil in stainless steel which is designed for circulation from f.ex. a solar panel. The electric element boosts the temperature whenever it is necessary. The Single coil is equipped with operation and maximum thermostat. At delivery the thermostat is set at 75 C, but it can easily be adjusted with a screwdriver. The safety temperature release is at 98 C. For electrical heating of tap water. Warning Do not remove the factory fitted pressure relief valve (9 bar). The valve must have a free flowing, non closeable 1/2 outlet to a visible and frost free drain! All alterations or repair concerning the electrical equipment must be performed by authorized electricians only, and in accordance with the diagrams shown. All connections must be pulled tight. This must be repeated after approximately 3 months operation

9 1.2 Double coil F/R Function and construction The Double coil is available in two capacities: 200 and 300 litres. It is a floor standing water heater which is delivered with three adjustable feet. The cold water supply is on top of the heater. The mixing valve and pressure relief valve are factory fitted. The mixing valve also functions as a stop valve towards the cold water supply. Easy draining of the heater with a drain valve on the pressure relief valve which is placed below the electric central. The Double coil has built-in twin coils in stainless steel which are designed for circu-lation from a solar panel in f.ex. one coil and another heating source in the other coil. The electric element boosts the temperature whe-never it is necessary. The Double coil is equipped with operation and maximum thermostat. At delivery the thermostat is set at 75 C, but it can easily be adjusted with a screwdriver. The safety temperature release is at 98 C. For electrical heating of tap water. INSTALLATION Conditions where Sanitary Water Tank is Installed Specific conditions are required for installation place such as service space, water pipe length and height, total volume of water and water quality. General Considerations The installation location is frost-free. Make sure to make the piping in size 1" or more (and reduce to 3 /4" at the inlet of the tank) as to have sufficient water volume in the piping between indoor unit and sanitary water tank. Locate the sanitary water tank in a suitable position to facilitate ease of maintenance, remember access is required to the electrical box. Provide a connection for the relief valve blow-off and drain. To avoid back siphonage it is advised to install a non-return valve on the water inlet of the sanitary water tank in accordance with local and national regulations. Take care that in the event of a leak, water can not cause any damage to the installation space and surroundings. Installing Sanitary Water Tank 1. Check if all sanitary water tank accessories are enclosed. 2. When floor mounting, place the sanitary water tank on a level surface. And make sure the sanitary water tank is mounted level. 3. Apply thermal paste to the thermistor and insert the thermistor as deep as possible in the thermistor socket. Fix using the nut provided. Sanitary Water Tank and Sanitary Water Tank Kit/Solar Thermal Kit To establish sanitary water circuit, 3way control valve and sanitary water tank kit is required. If solar thermal system is pre-installed at the installation field, solar thermal kit is required to interface solar thermal system to sanitary water tank to General Information supports following 3way valve. 15 How to Install Sanitary Water Tank Kit Follow below procedures Step 1a ~ Step 6. Step 1. Find a relay contactor and ELB in the kit. Bolt them into control box. (symbol at picture) Step 2. Connect CN_B/HEAT(A) (White Connector) of the indoor unit PCB with relay contact using included cable (symbol at the picture). Connect relay contactor port no. 0 and 1. Step 3. Connect relay contactor port no. 2 and 4 with ELB port no. 2 and 4. (symbol at the picture). B Check Polarity Connect relay contact port no. 2 to ELB port no. 2 Connect relay contact port no. 4 to ELB port no. 4 Step 4. Connect relay contactor port no. 3 and 5 with terminal block 1 port 6 and 7. (symbol at the picture). 16 Step 6. Find sanitary water tank sensor. Connect it to CN_TH4 (Red Connector) of the indoor unit PCB (symbol at the picture). The sensor wire should be passed through holes for sensor (symbol and at the picture). The sensor should be mounted correctly to the sensor hole of sanitary water tank. 17 How to Wire Sanitary Water Tank Heater Step 1. Uncover heater cover of the sanitary water tank. It is located side of the tank. Step 2. Find terminal block and connect wires as below. Wires are field-supplied item. WATER TANK HEATER 6 L 7 N BR BL (L) (N) (L) : Live signal from PCB to Heater (N) : Neutral signal from PCB to Heater Wire specification Cross-sectional area of the wire should be 5mm 2. Adjusting thermostat temperature To guarantee proper operation, it is recommended to set temperature of thermostat to maximum temperature (symbol at the picture). A

18 3.Replacement WARNING Incorrect handling of safety valves, thermostat and other valves may lead to tank rupture. Follow instructions carefully: 1. Always turn off main power (8) when water supply is shut off. 2. Test free operation of safety valves regularly by opening valves and ensuring that water runs out. 3. Electrical connection and repair operations should only be carried out by an authorized electrician. 4. Fitting and repair of plumbing fixtures should only be carried out by an authorized plumber. 5. When replacing thermostats, safety valves and other valves supplied with this unit, use only approved parts of same specification. CAUTION: Remember before resetting the safety cut-off or altering the thermostat setting, isolate electrical supply to the unit prior to removal of the electrical box lid. CAUTION: If electric element (5) or thermostat (4) is defective, contact authorized electrician. CAUTION: After adjustments are completed, ensure the lid to the electrical box is replaced correctly and the retaining screw is fitted. Replacement of the heating element 1. Disconnect the power cable (8). 2. Remove the electric lid (3) in front of the electric box. 3. Shut valve (1) fully towards clockwise until the valve is completely closed. 4. Open safety relief valve (10). (Close the valve by turning counter clockwise until it clicks.) 5. Loosen screw X and disable the wires. 6. Remove the heating element (5) with the element socket tool Y. A certain amount of water will now come out of the element hole. 7. Quickly rinse the O-ring slot and get ready to install the new heating element (5). 8. Enter the new heating element with a new O-ring seal. IMPORTANT: Make sure that the element enters the thread ring freely and tighten. 9. Open valve (1) and check that the heating element is not leaking. 10. Mount the wires X and Y and tighten properly. 11. Reconnect the power cable (8). Adjust the mixing valve (see "Installation and directions for use")

19 Replacement of the thermostat 1. Remove the electric lid (3) in front of the electric box. 2. Loosen the 4 screws X and Y and disable the wires X and Y. 3. Remove the thermostat (4) and replace this with a new one. 4. Mount the wires X and Y properly. Reset button Safety cut-out Thermostat Temperature adjustment Electric element 5/4"

20 4. Trouble Shooting No water flow from hot taps FAULT POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY 1. Mains supply off. 2. Strainer blocked. 3. Cold water inlet Pressure Reducing Valve incorrectly fited. 1. Check and open stopcock. 2. Turn off water supply. Remove strainer and clean. (See Pressure Reducing Valve page 6 Installation Manual) 3. Check and refit as required, (see item 3 page 5of installation manual). Water from hot taps is cold. Intermittent water discharge. Continuous water discharge. 1. Immersion heaters not switched on. 2. Immersion heater thermal cut-out has operated. 3. Programmer set to central heating or not switched on. 4. Boiler not working. 5. Cylinder thermal cut-out has operated. (Indirect units only). 6. Motorised valve not operating correctly. 1. Reduced internal expansion. 2. Thermal control failure. (Note Water will be hot). 1. Cold water inlet Pressure Reducing Valve not working. 2. Temperature and pressure relief valve faulty. 3. Expansion relief valve not working correctly. 1. Check and switch on. 2. Check and reset button. (See thermostat diagram page 9 and safty cut-out on page 4 of installation manual). 3. Check and set to hot water. 4. Check boiler operation. If fault suspected consult installer or boiler manufacturer. 5. As at No Check wiring and /or plumbing connections to motorised valve. (See pages 8 or 10 of the installation manual). 1. Recharge "air gap" (See cold water discharge on page 4 of installation manual). 2. Switch off power to immersion heater(s) and boiler supply to the unit. When discharge has stopped, check thermal controls, replace if faulty. Contact a competent person. 1. Check pressure from valve if greater than 2.1 bar replace. (See page 6 of installation manual). 2. As No. 2 of above. 3. Check and replace if faulty. (See page 6 of installation manual). Note : Disconnect electrical supply before removing any electrical equipment covers

When discharge has stopped check thermal controls and replace as necessary
