The water-cooled screw compressor models RSW and RSWF were developed for the economical production of oil-free compressed air in the medium output range of 18.5 to 45 kw. Optimal energy balance: Virtually isothermal compression Very high compression efficiency at low operating temperature through water-injection Very low air losses due to water sealing of rotors Energy saving through use of frequency control. A special feature of the utility patent-protected compressors is that the compressor oil used for lubrication, cooling and compression has been totally excluded from the compression process. The most natural of all raw materials has now taken over this task: water. As the ideal heat carrier, it draws the compression heat from the compressor and permanently supplies the water-injected friction bearings.
