Party, Eco, Holiday and One-time domestic hot water PROMATIC WDC is a modern weather compensated heating controller with one or two mixing heating circuits, for domestic hot water warming with boiler and solar system and up to two heat sources. WDC is designed for demanding installations and allows user to choose among fifty-two pre-set hydraulic schemes. For a quick and easy start, a start-up wizard is installed, that guides user through the controller setting in only three to four steps. The controller can be switched to simulation mode, where you can simulate the temperatures of individual sensors and monitor the controller s response. 38

5 SIMPLICITY SOLUTION USER FUNCTIONS Party operation mode Party operation mode is selected to extend daily or comfort mode of space heating. You can also set the time of the Party operation mode. SELTRONHOME PROMATIC WDC controllers can be connected into the SeltronHome environment for a comprehensive remote control and operation regulation. Remote access is provided by the Clausius application for the end users and the Kelvin application for installers and servicemen. ECO ECO operation mode ECO function allows heating at a lower or energy saving temperature. You can also set the time of the Eco operation mode. One time domestic hot water warming The function switches on the water heating instantly. SETUP WIZARD The controller leads you in 3- or 4- steps through the first commissioning; all other parameters are pre-set. SYSTEM SIMULATION Holiday operation mode By pressing the HOLIDAY operation mode the heating is set at a specific energy saving temperature until the selected date. Anti-legionella program The controller ensures the medium is bacteriafree by periodically heating water to 60 C. The simulation program is a special function which allows temperature sensor simulation, and thereby enables the user to test the system operation. INTERACTIVE HELP Fast and easy access to short manuals, notifications, warnings, software version, etc. HEATING SYSTEM PROTECTION PC INTERFACE The controller ensures periodical start-up of pumps and valves during inactive period as well as protection of the solar panels, and the heater against overheating or freezing. Through dedicated USB inverter the PROMATIC WDC weather compensted controllers can be connected to a PC. The accompanying Selcontrol software allows setting and monitoring of controller operation using a PC. The solution also operates in the SeltronHome environment. 39

9 SELF DIAGNOSTICS REPORTS In case of exceeding the maximum temperature or activation of protection function, the controller indicates the event with flashing symbol i on the display. If the maximum temperature is no longer exceeded or if the protection function is turned off, an illuminated symbol indicates a recent event. Press Help key to open the notifications log. For optimal controller operation, the right setting of the heat curve steepness is very important. BUS CONNECTION In the event of sensor failure, pump error or flow sensor error, the controller indicates the failure with flashing symbol! on the display. If the issue is resolved or no longer present, an illuminated symbol indicates a recent notification. Press Help key to open the warnings log. BUS BUS Using the BUS-connection, it is possible to establish a network of WDC controllers. CONNECTION OF ROOM UNITS GND Up to two room units can be connected to a controller. 43
