9 This information will enable you to obtain the correct adapter cord when you order a current replacement cool chassis for use with an old type K control box or a new heat section/control for use with an old cool chassis. You will need to know the dimensions of the old Molex connector to which the adapter cord must mate. The unit Adapter Cords New Component Old Component Unit Size model number, part number, or description of the old equipment is of no value in identification because all listed styles of Molex connector have been used in the past. The old Molex connector may be any of the applicable connectors shown. Select the correct adapter cord part number from the chart. Old Molex Connector Size Adapter Cord P/N Control Box 9 Type K Cool Chassis ¼" x 5 /6" Control Box 9 Type K Heat Chassis " x ¾" Cool Chassis Type K Control Box or Heat Section 9 When replacing only the control box, adapter cords are required for connections to both the old cool chassis & the old heat section. Select one adapter cord for each connection. (If the existing connector plug style for a size unit is unknown, order all four adapter cords listed & save or discard the unused cords). 0 A control box - heat section adapter cord is unnecessary when ordering a replacement heat section because a control box is part of the heat section assembly. However an adapter cord for the new control box - old cool chassis connection is still necessary and must be ordered as above. Adapter cords are not required on "H" or "L" vintage units (models KH or KL). Adapter cords are required however on KG and KF units.
