1 Sound Cover [ , , , ] Intended Use: To provide lower sound (dba) levels for Midmark PowerAir Compressors. Requirements / Restrictions: After cover is mounted to compressor, verify fans have 6 inches of clearance so air flow is not restricted. Components: End Panels... 2 Back Panel with Wire Harness... 1 Front Removable Panel... 1 Top Removable Panel... 1 Truss Head Screws #10-24 x 3/8.. 8 Kit & use Hex Head Bolts 3/8 x 5/8 LG... 4 Lock Washers 3/ Kit & use Hex Head Bolts 5/16 x 5/8 LG... 4 Lock Washers 5/ Equipment Alert PowerAir Compressors are equipped with a thermal switch which will shut down the compressor in the event of a high temperature condition due to a fan failure or blockage. The compressor will automatically restart when the temperature lowers inside the cover. To speed the cooling process, the top panel may be temporarily removed until service is preformed or the situation is corrected. Verify hoses and wires are routed so they are not touching compressor heads. Remove Access Panel Bolts and Washers Screws... 4 Washers... 8 Nuts... 1 Actuator... 1 Capacitor... 1 Cover... 2 Step 2: Disconnect power to compressor. Mount end panels to compressor. Note: Install bolts loosely, do not tighten. AA Step 1: Equipment Alert - Earlier Versions Only Remove access panel to increase air flow, so unit does not overheat. Remove access panel. 2 Step 4: Tighten end panel bolts. Route and secure fan wires with clips along left end panel. Connect fan plug. Step 3: Assemble back panel to end panels. 3 Earlier Versions Equipment Alert Hoses resting against compressors head could melt if not positioned away from heads. P21, P22 & P32 Models Only... Step 5: Pull air hoses out through bottom of sound cover. Bend air hoses up and away from heads. Bend Hose to Allow Clearance Away From Head Current Versions Pull Hoses Out Through Bottom of Sound Cover AA AA P52 & P72 Continue with Step 6 Midmark Corporation

Step 6: Route hoses through hanging clips with cable ties and out through triangular hole in bottom corners of sound cover. Route Hoses To Clips Without Resting on Heads As Shown Top View-P52 Hanging Clip Top View-P72 Bring Hoses Out Through Opening In Corners On Earlier Version Models Current Version Hoses Are Attached to Manifold Located in the Center AA Midmark Corporation 2007 SF

5 Step 7: Install removable panels. Bottom Screws Are 1/2 Turn Only Step 8: Connect power to compressor. Note: Fans will not operate until temperature inside sound cover is approximately 95 degrees Fahrenheit. AA Note Periodically, check to make sure fans spin freely and vacuum dust from fan openings. 6 LIMITED WARRANTY SCOPE OF WARRANTY Midmark Corporation ( Midmark ) warrants to the original purchaser its Air and Vacuum accessories (except for components not warranted under Exclusions ) manufactured by Midmark to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. Midmark s obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement, at Midmark s option, of the parts or the accessories the defects of which are reported to Midmark within the applicable warranty period and which, upon examination by Midmark, prove to be defective. APPLICABLE WARRANTY PERIOD The applicable warranty period, measured from the date of installation for the original user, shall be: Midmark Air and Vacuum Accessories: 90 Days EXCLUSIONS This warranty does not cover and Midmark shall not be liable for the following: (1) repairs and replacements because of misuse, abuse, negligence, alteration, accident, freight damage, or tampering; (2) products which are not installed, used, and properly cleaned as required in the Midmark Installation manual and/or Maintenance guide for this applicable product; (3) products considered to be of a consumable nature; (4) accessories or parts not manufactured by Midmark; (5) charges by anyone for adjustments, repairs, replacement parts, installation, or other work performed upon or in connection with such products which is not expressly authorized in writing in advance by Midmark. EXCLUSIVE REMEDY Midmark s only obligation under this warranty is the repair or replacement of defective parts. Midmark shall not be liable for any direct, special, indirect, incidental, exemplary, or consequential damages or delay, including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits or loss of use. NO AUTHORIZATION No person or firm is authorized to create for Midmark any other obligation or liability in connection with the products. THIS WARRANTY IS MIDMARK S ONLY WARRANTY AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. MIDMARK MAKES NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
