The goal of the energy transition is independence from fossil fuels Fossil fuels are in decline on the electricity market too harmful to the climate and ever more scarce. Nowadays, alternative energies using the sun, wind and water are being used to generate green power. So it is only logical to act in good time to convert the largest energy consumer in your home the heating system to these futureproof forms of energy. As nearly 80 % of energy consumed in the home is used for heating and hot water, this makes perfect sense. So there is plenty of scope for implementing the energy transition in your own home.

Ventilation STIEBEL ELTRON s advanced ventilation system keeps the heat inside your home. It recovers up to 90 % of the heat that would otherwise be lost through open windows. Room heating The integrated air source heat pump draws the heat for the heating function from the outdoor air, simply and efficiently, achieving high output levels even at low temperatures. DHW heating Some of the heat drawn from the outdoor air is also used for DHW heating. A large DHW cylinder with excellent insulation ensures low heat losses and a high level of convenience. Cooling By simply reversing the refrigerant circuit, the LWZ 504 and 304/404 SOL models also enable active cooling, ensuring a fresh ambience in the summer.

6 First class ambience with outstanding ventilation management More and more developers are finding that well insulated buildings are key to meeting current insulation requirements. They are also attracted by the benefits of low heating and energy costs and a high level of comfort within the home. With very high insulation of the building envelope, heat losses and therefore the heat load are kept to a minimum. The more insulated and airtight the building, the more difficult it is to achieve the natural exchange of air needed to prevent the build-up of moisture and mould, and protect the building fabric. CO 2 levels also rise if there is little air exchange. Ventilation grilles Fresh air and design combined with style An optimum indoor environment is ensured not only through the LVE and LVS distribution systems, but also through the corresponding ventilation grilles. The rectangular air grilles are ideal for floor outlets in the supply air area and are particularly stable in form when it comes to installation in the floor. The round air grilles with integral air filter are particularly suitable for wall mounting in the supply air area. Wall or ceiling mounting in the extract air area is also an option. All air grilles are available in different designs and in either plain white or brushed stainless steel. Ventilation controller For convenient operation The FES Comfort for the LWZ integral appliances enables comprehensive operation from the comfort of your living room, utilising intuitive user prompts on the plain text display.

15 Integral ventilation systems Energy management Suitable accessories make STIEBEL ELTRON products capable of communicating to create an intelligent energy management system. By networking heat pumps, storage technology and other building service appliances, the proportion of self-generated photovoltaic power consumed on site can be significantly raised, which in turn improves the overall level of energy efficiency. Internet Service Gateway ISG ISG plus With the ISG, the heat pump system can be conveniently controlled from a PC, tablet or smartphone via STIEBEL ELTRON SERVICEWELT, it can also be controlled while away from home. The optional extensions for KNX IP, Modbus IP and the link-up to the SMA Sunny Home Manager (EMI) provide for intelligent functional enhancement. The ISG plus can link your heat pump to variable power tariffs which may become available in the future, and to your photovoltaic system, to maximise the utilisation of power generated on your roof. The SMA Sunny Home Manager works in tandem with the ISG to ensure truly intelligent energy management. It forecasts power-based demand and yields so as to best provide electrical consumers and cylinders with PV power. A wall mounted e-mobility charging station can also be integrated. The ISG forecasts demand for the required thermal energy, taking into account the thermal stores available in the building. With this efficient, cost effective approach, economical PV power can be stored thermally.
