9 Narrative Bid Specifications Specified Unit CK 14/1 Pro Vacuum, Model: Summary The specified unit shall be a commercial grade single motor upright vacuum, with a 14 inch cleaning path. The vacuum motor will power the and the brush. The drive belt for the brush shall be located in a separate compartment. Standard features will include onboard telescopic vacuum wand and at least two attachments. The unit shall have filters and filter bags that are enclosed and sealed within a hard body cover. The brush head shall have a large object ledge that directs paperclips, coins and large objects directly into the throat of the vacuum. Wheels shall be 2 1/4 in diameter and constructed in a shock absorbing design using the wear resistant plastic material. The unit shall have a non-marking bumper that protects the entire front of the brush housing and furniture. The unit shall have a quick release bottom plate to access the brush without using tools. Cylindrical brush machines have six times the contact pressure of a conventional rotary brush machine, which not only helps reduce water usage, but also improves worker productivity and reduces labor costs. 2. Less chemicals: Due to recent green legislation and the development of new cleaning standards, all of our cylindrical brush machines and carpet extractors are designed to use less chemicals as well as provide increased rotations per minute (RPMs). The adjustable head pressure helps to minimize the need for powerful and potentially harmful chemicals. Our carpet extractors have enhanced vacuum systems that limit the possibility of mold and mildew from developing and speed carpet-drying time. The result? Areas cleaned are ready for use faster and are safer for building occupants. 3. IAQ Enhancement: Vacuum cleaners including uprights, backpacks and canisters can release dust and debris into the air if they are not designed with advanced infiltration systems.
