Will you ever grow tired of friends asking Where did you get that range? Never. Your discerning eyes will notice an inherent quality in the finish of the Legacy. We use real porcelain and a Thermo-Fused enamel finish. The result is a subtle beauty that s made to last. We placed the nickel-plated control knobs on the range front to make them easy for you to read and reach. Simply push and turn for an inspiring range of burner settings. Straight and clean lines are a Legacy trademark. Notice how we ve used them as an accent around the oven door. There, a cylindrical nickelplated handle (accented in black on the lighter colored ranges), lends both substance and sophistication. No detail goes unnoticed in a Heartland design. The curved feet and layered geometry of the legs are a final reminder that this range is based on refined elegance. 5

6 A COOKTOP OF AMAZING PERFORM We know that passionate cooks like you would never be satisfied with appearance alone no matter how exquisite. So while we were hard at work designing a range that looked like no other, we also set our sights on engineering it to provide an exciting new level of performance. As a combination range, the Legacy gives you the precise response of a gas cooktop along with the versatility of a self-cleaning convection oven. Think of it as cooking in a state of true perfection. For your added convenience, the Legacy features electronic ignition and flame re-ignition. If the flame is accidentally extinguished, the burner automatically relights at the same level. Dual Heads Are Better Than One The Legacy s burners have dual heads an inner and outer ring of flame to maintain precise and uniform temperatures from a maximum of 15,500 BTU down to 450 BTU for a true simmer. While other manufacturers promise this extra low setting, no one can deliver with the consistency of a Heartland. The inner ring of the Legacy burner delivers a constant flame at 450 BTU. Melting chocolate or thickening that delicate bernaise sauce without scorching just became so much simpler! Experience The Thrill of Our Grill On the 36 Legacy Range, you have the option of a grill that takes the pleasure of indoor barbecuing to the extreme. Our designers created a burner system that keeps smoke to the bare minimum while maximizing flavour and aroma. There are two burners each with an independent control for an impressive range of power from as high as 7,500 BTU to as low as 1,000 BTU per burner. Make one steak well-done on the back burner at one temperature as you sear a rare fillet at an other temperature on the front. Parts are easy to remove and clean 100% porcelain coated and dishwasher safe. Our grill also features automatic flame re-ignition. Installed by Heartland craftsmen at our factory, the grill replaces two of the burners on your 36 Legacy Range. When ordering your range, indicate if you prefer the grill. 6

When working with a small diameter pot, make use of the stainless steel trivet we include with your Legacy Range. It fits over the grate to provide added stability. Cook Friendly Programming We want you to enjoy the convenience of electronic programming without the complexity. So at Heartland, we developed our own software and an innovative clock to keep things simple. Just push the touch pad and follow the symbols. The digital display is easy to read and use. You program precise temperatures, cooking times, and a wide range of other options. Let your Legacy bake dinner for you while you re away at work, or set the oven to self-clean overnight. Want to keep little hands away from the range? Take advantage of the child safety feature to lock down the controls until you re ready to cook. All The Right Elements 36 Model The Legacy Range features a special 3 element system. The bottom element is for standard baking, the rear for convection baking, and the instant heat ceramic ribbon broil element behind glass. Instead of bulky coils on top of the range, we concealed the elements to provide faster heat up times and easier clean up. The Legacy also offers full broiling temperature control from 550 F down to 150 F. You have the option of regular baking and broiling or convection. Notice that we ve placed a ring element around the convection fan for even heat distribution. Cooking times are reduced; roasts are juicier and pastries rise to delicious new heights. 9
