Target group These instructions are exclusively designed for qualified personnel. & Work on gas equipment must only be carried out by a qualified gas fitter. & Work on electrical equipment must only be carried out by a qualified electrician. & The system must be commissioned by the system installer or a qualified person authorised by the installer. Regulations Observe the following when working on this system & all legal instructions regarding the prevention of accidents, & all legal instructions regarding environmental protection, & thecodeofpracticeofrelevant trade associations, & all current safety regulations as defined by DIN, EN, DVGW, TRGI, TRF, VDE and all locally applicable standards. If you smell gas Danger Escaping gas can lead to explosions which may result in serious injury. & Never smoke. Prevent naked flames and sparks. Never switch lights or electrical appliances ON or OFF. & Close the gas shut-off valve. & Open windows and doors. & Remove all people from the danger zone. & Notify your gas or electricity supplier from outside the building. & Shut off the electricity supply to the building from a safe place (outside the building). If you smell flue gas Danger Flue gas can lead to life-threatening poisoning. & Shut down the heating system. & Ventilate the boiler room. & Closealldoorsleadingtothe living space. 2

Workingonthesystem & When using gas as fuel, also close the main gas shut-off valve and safeguard against unauthorised reopening. & Isolate the system from the power supply and check that it is no longer 'live', e.g. by removing a separate fuse or by means of a main isolator. & Safeguard the system against unauthorised reconnection.! Please note Electronic modules can be damaged by electro-static discharges. Touch earthed objects, such as heating or water pipes, to discharge static loads. Repair work! Please note Repairing components which fulfil a safety function can compromise the safe operation of your heating system. Replace faulty components only with original Viessmann spare parts. Ancillary components, spare and wearing parts! Please note Spare and wearing parts which have not been tested together with the heating system can compromise its function. Installing non-authorised components and non-approved modifications/conversion can compromise safety and may invalidate our warranty. For replacements, use only original spare parts from Viessmann or those which are approved by Viessmann. 3

When using a top-mounted Modular-Divicon (accessory): Set the mixer lever to "OPEN" (red). 3. Fill the system via on-site filling connection B on the heating return, until it is fully vented. 4. Open shut-off valve A again. Separate hose A to the neutralising system from siphon B. 2. Remove siphon B from the condensate drain. 3. Connect drain hose C on the condensatedrainandrunthehosetoa drainage system. 6

Checking the neutralising system (if installed) Check the ph value of the condensate with a ph test strip. Replace the granulate if the ph value < 6.5. Note Part no. for ph test strips: Observe the manufacturer's instructions regarding the neutralising system. Checking the connections on the flue gas side for tightness Note Traces of condensate indicate a leak. 1. Remove insulation strip A and pull out thermal insulation mat B a little. 2. Check the heat exchanger for tight fit. 3. Check the connector on the heat exchanger for leaks. 7

Cleaning the heating surfaces Note Carry out the standard cleaning from the front of the boiler (through the combustion chamber). In case of severe contamination (e.g. through incorrect burner adjustment), remove the heat exchanger to clean the boiler. 1. Remove contamination from the connector using a vacuum cleaner. 2. Thoroughly flush the heating surface with water.! Please note Prevent components that are in contact with hot gases from being scratched or otherwise damaged. Prevent components that are in contact with hot gases from coming into contact with pure iron, otherwise corrosion damage can result. Neveruseawirebrushor sharp objects. Use plastic brushes, if required. For conventional cleaning, flush the heating surfaces thoroughly with water. However, you mayusecleaning agents if you notice stubborn residues, surface discolouration or soot deposits. For this, observe the following: & Only use solvent-free cleaning agents. Ensure that no cleaning agent enters between the boiler body and the thermal insulation. & Remove soot deposits with alkaline agents containing surfactants (e.g. Fauch 600* 1 ). & Combustion residues may create thin, yellow-brown surface discolouration as well as hard deposits that may only become visible after removing the soot deposits. Use slightly acidic, chlorine-free cleaning agents based on phosphoric acid to remove surface discolouration and hard deposits (e.g. Antox 75 E* 1 ). & Remove loose deposits from the heat exchanger; flush the heating surface thoroughly with water.
