10 CONTROLS OPERATIONS FAN CONTROL OFF- completely shuts off the unit. To prevent blowing fuses, wait two minutes after turning the unit off before turning it on again. LOW COOL Filters and circulates room air with the fan running continuously on low speed. Also cools and dehumidifiers while the compressor is running. Select this setting for quiet cooling operation. HIGH COOL- Filters and circulates room air with the fan running continuously on high speed. Also cools and dehumidifies while the compressor is running. Select this setting for maximum air circulation and cooling effect. LOW HEAT Filters and circulates room air with the fan running continuously on low speed. Also heats while the compressor or electric heat is running. Select this setting for quiet heating operation. HIGH HEAT Filters and circulates room air with the fan running continuously on high speed. Also heats while the compressor or electric heater is running. Select this setting for maximum air circulation and heating effect. FAN ONLY Select this setting for circulating or exhausting room air without cooling. TEMPERATURE CONTROL Slide this control to the left for a warmer room temperature, to the right for a cooler room temperature. Page 9

11 INSTALLATION INTRUCTIONS Installation Precaution Incorrect installation of the unit may lead to death, personal injury, or property damage. Only trained, qualified installers and service personnel are allowed to install, start-up, and service this equipment. Casualty, injury or damage due to incorrect installation or installation by unqualified personel will not be assumed by us. Location Install the unit where: The condensate can be easily drained out. It is with a minimum distance of 1m away from TV set or any other electric appliance. There is no leakage of inflammable gas. There is no other heat source or direct sunlight. It is out of reach of children. Do not install the unit in a laundry, or a bathroom or around a swimming pool, etc. Consult your seller before installation when the unit is to be installed in an area where salt-laden air prevails (conlse to coastal areas, etc), the air contains sulphurous gas (in hot spring zones), or there are other special conditions. For window type air conditioner with a remote controller, contact your seller when it is to be installed in a place where there is strong electromagnetic interference. How to install Choose a location where there is not any obstacle surrounding the unit. Prepare the installation hole a little bigger than the size of the unit. Choose the installation space according to the diagrams in Page 4. Installation Procedure: 1. Remove the sticker from the front panel. 2. Put the unit into the installation hole. When installing, make sure the unit is slanted downward to the back to minimize the noise and vibration of operation. (Slant by 6-10mm) Mark sure the installation place is strong enough to minimize the noise and vibration of operation. 3. Fill the gaps in the cabinet with sponge or foam. Page 10

12 Install the auxiliaries: Adopt an iron stand Installation hole should be arranged such that it can support the whole air conditioner, if not, an outdoor iron stand should be adopted for support. Iron stand should be fixed to the building securely. Set up the sun shield Air conditioner should be protected from foreign material drop-in or direct solarization. In case there is no safeguard over the machine, please contact your distributor for mounting a sun shield; but it should be ensured that the sun shield must not seriously blockade the inlet air at upper grille of the air conditioner. Drain Water To maximize cooling efficiency, the air conditioner is designed to spray condensate water to the condenser coil. For cooling only unit, if the spraying sound is annoyed, you could drain the condensate water through following steps, which may lead to a small loss of performance. 1. Slide out the unit from the cabinet. 2. Remove the rubber plug from the base-pan. 3. Install the drain pan to the corner of the cabinet with 2 screws. 4. Connect the drain hose to the outlet on the bottom of the drain pan. 5. Slide the unit into its original place in the cabinet. NOTES: Drain pan and drain hose must be installed before operation. Drain hose or tubing is not provided with unit. Should purchase separately. Page 11

17 TROUBLE SHOOTING Precautions before performing inspection or repair Be cautious during installation and maintenance. Do operation following the regulations to avoid electric shock and casualty or even death due to drop from high attitude. Static maintenance is the maintenance during de-energization of the air conditioner. For static maintenance, make sure that the unit is de-energized and the plug is disconnected. Dynamic maintenance is the maintenance during energization of the unit. Before dynamic maintenance, check the electricity and ensure that there is ground wire on the site. Check if there is electricity on the housing and connection copper pipe of the air conditioner with voltage tester. After ensure insulation place and the safety, the maintenance can be performed. Malfunction Analysis Problem Possible Defective What to do Air conditioner does not start The air conditioner is unplugged Make sure the air conditioner plug is pushed completely into the outlet. The fuse is blown/circuit breaker is tripped Check the house fuse/circuit breaker box and replace the fuse or reset the breaker. Power failure The unit will automatically re-start in last settings. There is a protective time delay (3-minutes) to prevent tripping of the compressor overload. For this reason, the unit may not start normal cooling or heating for 3 minutes after it is turned back on. The current interrupter device is tripped. Press the RESET button on power cord plug. If the RESET button will not stay engaged, discontinue use of the unit and contact a qualified device technician, Unit is frequently Power-line voltage is abnormal Find out the cause and ON/OFF improve power supply to stabilize the voltage Heat-sinking capability of condenser is not good. Neither is ventilation Clean the condenser and clear the blockage in front of air outlet. Page 16

20 REMOVAL INSTRUCTION 1. Remove front pane Remove front panel Face the unit and hold front panel with two hands. Lift the air-in front panel to remove it. Remove filter Hold the filter to Draw it outwards. Then remove the filter. Remove front panel Unplug two knobs, and remove plastic film. Remove 4 screws fixing front panel subassembly and then draw the front panel outwards to separate it from cabinet. 2. Remove cabinet Page 19

21 Remove 1 screw fixing cabinet and chassis. Hold cabinet and draw it backwards to remove it. Remove quickset and curtain subassembly Remove screws fixing cabinet, quickset and curtain. Then remove curtain subassembly. Page 20

22 Remove upper guide rail Remove 4 screws fixing cabinet and upper guide rail. Then remove upper guide rail. Remove upper cover plate Remove 4 screws on cover plate. And then remove upper cover plate. Remove electric box Remove 2 screws fixing electric box subassembly. Remove 3 screws fixing side of electric box subassembly. Page 21

23 Unplug compressor wire, motor wire, and electric heater wire. Then remove electric box subassembly. Capacitor and capacitor clamp Remove 3 screws fixing front isolation sheet and electric box. Remove 1 screw fixing capacitor clamp and electric box. Then remove capacitor and capacitor clamp. Remove main switch and thermostat Remove 1 screw fixing patching board and electric box. Then remove patching board. Remove screws among main switch, thermostat and electric box. Finally remove main switch and thermostat. Remove foam around outlet Remove connection sponge of propeller housing. Then remove foam around the air outlet. Page 22

24 Remove electric heater Remove 4 screws fixing electric heater. Then remove it. Remove thermostat Remove 2 screws fixing thermostat. Then remove thermostat. Remove flow guide loop Remove 4 screws of propeller housing. Then remove follow guide loop. Page 23

25 Remove middle isolation sheet Remove 4 screws fixing middle isolation sheet, evaporator subassembly and chassis. Remove 3 screws fixing middle isolation sheet and chassis. Remove 2 screws fixing middle isolation sheet, Page 24

26 evaporator chassis. and Remove rear cover Remove 9 screws fixing rear cover and condenser. Then remove rear cover. Remove air duct subassembly Neaten motor wire and lift it up to remove air duct subassembly. Page 25

27 Remove centrifugal fan blade Remove nut of fixing centrifugal fan blade. Remove flat washer and spring washer. Draw centrifugal fan blade along arrow direction to remove it. Remove propeller housing Draw propeller housing along motor shaft to remove it. Remove middle isolation sheet and rear isolation sheet. Hold motor and remove 3 nuts fixing motor and 3 screws. Then remove middle and rear isolation sheets. Page 26

29 Remove axial flow fan blade Remove nut fixing axial follow fan blade. Remove flat washer and spring washer. Then remove axial flow fan blade along arrow direction. Remove compressor Discharge refrigerant inside the pipeline (Rapid discharge will cause spurt of oil and malfunction of compressor). Unsolder welding points among aspiration pipe, discharge pipe, compressor, capillary and evaporator. Remove 4 screws between evaporator and chassis. Then remove 3 screws fixing compressor. Remove compressor. Page 28

30 Remove evaporator and condenser Unsolder welding points among capillary, condenser, aspiration pipe, evaporator, discharge pipe and condenser. Then remove evaporator, aspiration pipe, capillary, evaporator and condenser. Remove drain valve Remove 2 screws fixing drain valve. Then remove drain valve. Page 29
