3 Electrical Requiremets Observe all goverig codes ad ordiaces. Required: A 120 Volt, 60 Hz, AC oly, 15- or 20-amp electrical supply with a fuse or circuit breaker. Recommeded: A time-delay fuse or time-delay circuit breaker. A separate circuit servig oly this microwave ove. GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS For all cord coected appliaces: The microwave ove must be grouded. Settigs Clock The Clock is a 12- or 24-hour clock. Use Cotrol Setup to chage mode, or to tur o or off Daylight Savig Time. 12 hour mode: Touch CLOCK, eter time, touch the Start cotrol, select A.M. or P.M., the touch Start cotrol agai. 24 hour mode: Touch CLOCK, eter time, the touch the Start cotrol. Cotrol Lock (O some models) Activate to avoid uiteded start. Depedig o your model, the padlock graphic o the cotrol pael is ext to either the Start cotrol or Cacel cotrol. Touch ad hold the appropriate cotrol pad util the sigal souds ad the lock idicator appears i the display. Repeat to ulock cotrol. Eco Mode (O some models) Eco Mode reduces stadby power usage. Whe you press the ECO MODE butto oce, the display will go out ad the microwave shifts to the mode which miimizes power usage. To cacel the ECO MODE, press ECO MODE butto oce agai, or press ay other butto. To Test Cookware/Dierware: Place dish o turtable with 1 cup (250 ml) of water beside it. Program 1 miute of cook time at 100 %. 5 Microwave Ove Care Geeral Cleaig IMPORTANT: Before cleaig, make sure all cotrols are off ad the microwave ove is cool. Always follow label istructios o cleaig products. To avoid damage to the microwave ove caused by arcig due to soil buildup, keep cavity, microwave ilet cover, cookig rack supports, ad area where the door touches the frame clea. Clea with mild soap, water ad a soft cloth or spoge, or as idicated below. Grease filters: mild soap ad water or dishwasher. Door ad exterior: mild soap ad water, or glass cleaer applied to paper towel. Cotrol pael: spoge or soft cloth ad water. Stailess steel (o some models): mild soap ad water, the rise with clea water ad dry with soft cloth, or use stailess steel cleaer. Turtable: mild soap ad water or dishwasher. Cookig rack ad supports (o some models): mild soap, water ad washcloth. Dishwasher cleaig is ot recommeded. Troubleshootig Check these solutios if you have a problem with your microwave: Problem The display ad/or the ove is ot workig. Solutio Replacig Filters ad Light Bulbs Grease filters: Remove grease filters from uderside of microwave ove, ad clea mothly. Charcoal filter: The charcoal odor filter is behid the vet grille at the top frot of the microwave ove. The charcoal filters caot be cleaed, ad should be replaced about every 6 moths. Cooktop light: The cooktop light is located o the uderside of the microwave ove, ad is replaceable. Cavity light: The cavity light bulb is located behid the vet grille at the top frot of the microwave ove, uder the bulb cover, ad is replaceable. Do ot use bezee, thier or alcohol to clea the appliace. This may result i discoloratio, deformatio, damage, electric shock or fire. Before cleaig or performig maiteace, uplug the appliace from the wall socket ad remove food waste from the door ad cookig compartmet. Failig to do so may result i electric shock or fire. Do ot clea the appliace with a steam cleaer. This may result i corrosio. Make sure the plug is properly coected to a grouded outlet. If the wall outlet is cotrolled by a wall switch, make sure the wall switch is tured o. Remove the plug from the outlet, wait te secods, ad plug it i agai. Reset the circuit breaker or replace ay blow fuses. Plug a differet appliace ito the outlet. If the other appliace does t work, call a qualified electricia to repair the wall outlet. Plug the ove ito a differet outlet. The display is workig, but the power wo t come o. Is the power goig off before the set time has elapsed? Cooks food too slowly. Has sparks or arcig. The turtable makes oise or becomes stuck. Causes TV or radio iterferece. Vet Motor suctio force is too weak. Operatig oise is too loud. Cook top lamp is too dim. Difficult to replace Charcoal Filter. Turtable rotates improperly. Make sure the door is closed securely. Check if ay packagig material or aythig else is stuck i the door seal. Check if the door is damaged. Touch Cacel twice ad eter all the cookig istructios agai. If there was a power outage, the time idicator will display: 88:88. If o power outage occurred, remove the plug from the outlet, wait te secods, ad plug it i agai. Reset the clock ad ay cookig istructios. Reset the circuit breaker or replace ay blow fuses. Make sure the ove has its ow 20 amp circuit lie. Operatig aother appliace o the same circuit ca cause a voltage drop. If ecessary, move the ove to its ow circuit. Remove ay metallic utesils, cookware, or metal ties. If usig foil, use oly arrow strips ad allow at least oe ich betwee the foil ad the iterior ove walls. Clea the turtable, roller rig ad ove floor. Make sure the turtable ad roller rig are positioed correctly. This is similar to iterferece caused by other small appliaces, such as hair dryers. Move your microwave (or appliace) away from appliaces, such as your TV or radio. Set the vet mode to high. The Vet Fa will oly operate i low speed mode while the microwave is workig. The MWO makes oise durig operatio. This is ormal. If you hear a abormal soud cotiuously, please cotact the Samsug Call Ceter ( ). Set the lamp brightess level to high. Please refer to the istructios for replacig the charcoal filter i the user s maual. Make sure you have ot put too much food o the turtable.
