GreenSmart Remote Control System Quiet Convection Fan Heat your home even faster with an internal convection fan. The fan forces heat into the room and throughout your home by enhancing the fireplace s natural convection. It also turns on and off automatically to maintain the set temperature of the room, when used with either the remote or wall thermostat. Convection fans are standard on the 21 TRV, Bostonian HO and Hearthview HO fireplaces. This revolutionary remote is standard on the 21 TRV, Bostonian HO and Hearthview HO. It is also an optional upgrade on all other models. It allows you the ease of controlling your GreenSmart system from the hand-held GreenSmart remote. Hearthview TRV & Hearthview ST. GreenSmart 2 hand-held remote comes with wall holster Smart Thermostat Setting: Using the remote in the Smart setting is like setting your fireplace on autopilot. Your fireplace will automatically adjust the heat output and flame height based on the temperature you selected on the thermostat setting. The flame will modulate to attain the set temperature, thus conserving fuel and maximizing heating ability to extend the viewing pleasure of the fire. If the desired room temperature is exceeded the flame will turn off. Since the fireplace has gradually decreased the fire and internal firebox temperature, your convection fan will now run for a shorter period of time after the fire has gone off which will save energy. Power Heat Duct Kit This optional venting configuration delivers heat to an upstairs, downstairs or adjoining room within 20 feet of the fireplace. The Hearthview TRV and Hearthview ST can utilize one Power Heat Duct Kit sending heat to an additional room in your home. The Bostonian HO and the Hearthview HO have the option of adding up to two Power Heat Duct Kits. The 21 TRV Portrait-Style fireplace and Bostonian SS do not use the Power Heat Duct Kit. 4

6 GREEN 2 SMAR TM The patent-pending GreenSmart 2 System is the most innovative collection of components, controls and technology that provide an elegant, smarter and greener way to heat your home. Standard GreenSmart 2 features include: Accent Light, Comfort Control burner, GreenSmart pilot and LED control panel lights. A dashboard is located under the front of the fireplace, and is operated manually. This comes standard on the 564 SS, 564 DF, 864 TRV and 864 ST Convection Blower Rheostat Control: OFF and HIGH to LOW adjustments. Optional on the 564 SS, 564 DF, 864 TRV and 864 ST. 2. Accent Light Control: For ON/OFF and brightness adjustment. 3. Variable Flame Control: This control adjusts flame and heat up and down. 4. Two Position Pilot Selection: Push up for continuous pilot and down for GreenSmart Pilot. 5. Comfort Control: Push UP for both burners and DOWN for front burner only. 6. Battery Back-Up: Automatically switches from AC to battery during power outages and back again when power is restored. 7. Main Burner Switch: This switch turns the burner ON/OFF. 5 Glide-Away Closed Glide-Away Open Glide-Away or Drop Down Concealment Door The control valve and wires are hidden by our new concealment door to provide an elegant, more finished appearance. The concealment door conveniently opens and closes for easy access to the controls. On some models, the control area is hidden by a concealment door that lifts up and glides away. On other models it drops-down both provide easy access if control adjustments are desired. Highly Visible Dashboard The GreenSmart 2 basic controls of the unit are located on a black dashboard behind the concealment door. All controls are clearly labeled with white silk-screened lettering for easy reading. Control Panel Lighting When the concealment door is opened, control panel lighting is automatically turned on to make viewing controls on the dashboard easy, even in a low light environment.

7 GreenSmart Split-Flow Burners Lopi burners are all two-stage, allowing a portion of the burner to be turned on and off with the Comfort Control feature. Your fireplace will be equipped with either the Dancing-Fyre, Ember-Fyre or Diamond-Fyre burner. Hearthview TRV Hearthview HO Bostonian HO Dancing-Fyre Burner: This burner is found in the Bostonian SS, Hearthview TRV and Hearthview ST fireplaces. It is an option on the Bostonian HO and Hearthview HO models. The Dancing-Fyre burner features detailed logs and glowing embers for a beautiful, realistic "woodlike" fire. Choice of Continuous Pilot or GreenSmart Pilot: This switch allows you to run your fireplace in either Continuous Pilot model or GreenSmart Pilot mode. In Continuous Pilot mode the pilot flame continually stays on. - perfect for the Fall and Winter months. For maximum efficiency use the GreenSmart mode, where the pilot flame ignites only when a fire is needed, conserving energy when the fireplace is not being operated. The GreenSmart system includes a battery back-up, ensuring proper ignition even during power outages. Ember-Fyre Burner: The Award-Winning Ember-Fyre burner is standard in the 21 TRV, and as an option on the Bostonian HO and Hearthview HO models. The Ember- Fyre burner is known for its gorgeous, dancing yellow-flame, fire flickering around a high definition detailed log set and glowing embers for the most realistic wood-like fire available. Diamond-Fyre and Diamond-Fyre II Burner: The Diamond-Fyre burner is found in the Bostonian Diamond-Fyre model. It features an under-lit crushed glass bed. The Diamond-Fyre II is an option in the Bostonian HO and Hearthview HO models with standard accent lighting. These two models have the option of the Fyre-Stone Rock Kit or the Driftwood Fyre-Art with glass floor. Comfort Control Features: With the push of a button your Comfort Control will turn off the rear burner (sides on the Bostonian Diamond-Fyre ) while leaving the front burner on for an attractive flame appearance when heat output is not the priority. This feature delivers a turn-down ratio of up to 72 percent! It works in conjunction with the split-flow burners, and offers a more efficient way to heat the room by only burning the amount of fuel needed to keep a constant temperature; a smarter, greener way to enjoy fire in your home. GreenSmart Pilot Fuel and Cost $avings Example: A standing pilot fireplace uses.552 therms of gas each day. The average therm of natural gas is $1.10, or $0.60 to run every day - no matter if the fireplace is on or off. 31 days of standing pilot usage equates to $18.60 per month that you can save when you set your fireplace to the GreenSmart Pilot mode. Propane can run up to three times this cost. The GreenSmart System helps you save on both energy usage and your heating bill. You have the option to further personalize your fireplace with one of our designer fireback interiors. Firebacks are required on the Bostonian HO and Hearthview HO fireplaces. You can use any fireback with the Ember- Fyre burner. If using the Diamond-Fyre burner, only use one of the metal fireback liners. The Dancing-Fyre burner comes with a black painted liner.
