READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING. 1. Place the unit on a flat level floor. Unit may not work properly on an uneven floor. 2. Keep unit away from heat sources such as stoves, radiators or heaters. 3. Place unit in an area that is out of the reach of children. 4. DO NOT use the unit if the power cord or plug is damaged or the connection to the wall outlet is loose. 3 AIR PURIFICATION SYSTEM FUNCTION Pre-Filter (black sponge): Captures the larger particles to enhance the durability and performance of the other filters. Anti-Bacterial Pre-Filter: First stage of capturing and removing bacteria and microorganisms. Ion Flow HEPA filter: A high-efficiency air filter that captures 99.5% of airborne pollutant particles as small as 0.3 microns, including spores, pollen, mold, pet dander and dust. PARTS IDENTIFICAION Ion Flow Activated Carbon Filter: Helps remove household odors. TiO2 (Titanium Oxide) Filter + UV: Photo catalytic oxidation is achieved when UV ray combines with a TiO2- coated filter. This process creates hydroxyl radicals and super-oxide ions, which are highly reactive electrons. These electrons aggressively combine with other elements in the air, such as bacteria and volatile organic compounds (VOC), which are harmful pollutants. Once bound together, the chemical reaction takes place between the super-charges ion and the pollutant, effectively oxidizing or burning the pollutant. This breaks the pollutant down into harmless carbon dioxide and water molecules. UV Light: Sterilizes the air by breaking down microorganisms, such as germs, viruses, bacteria, fungi, mold, etc. Effectively destroys the nucleic acids in these microorganisms so their DNA is disrupted and destroyed. Ion Flow Technology: Generates negative ions to attract particles, such as dust, bacteria, pollen and many other allergens, which are positively charged. Once bonded, the particles become heavy and falls to the ground and out of your respiratory system. 2 3

Before cleaning, be sure to turn unit off and unplug the power cord. Housing Wipe the body with soft and clean cloth. For more stubborn stains, use a soft cloth dampened with warm water. Never use volatile fluids, such as paint thinner, polishing powders, benzene, etc. Pre-Filter (black sponge) Remove front panel and clean with handheld vacuum or brush attachment of large vacuum. If excessively dirty, remove from HEPA filter frame and wash. Only the black sponge is washable. When washing, use a soft brush with lukewarm water. Do not use metal brushes or scrubs. After washing, allow to air dry in shade until completely dry. HEPA Filter / Carbon Filter / TiO2 Filter These filters are NOT washable and should be replaced periodically depending on usage and environment. On average, replace once every 3 to 6 months. Filter life is greatly reduced with in poor environments. Presence of cigarette smoke or pet dander can quickly clog filters, please check filters regularly and replace as needed. Please dispose replaced filters according to local disposal regulations. 5 ASSEMBLY To remove front panel, pull and lift upwards. Your Guarantee If this product is found to be faulty as a result of faulty materials or workmanship within one year from date of purchase, it will be repaired free of charge. Filters must be placed in correct order: Replace front panel, align clips at bottom and push in gently: This guarantee is subject to the following terms: Sunpentown must be notified of the fault. Proof of purchase must be presented to Sunpentown s nominated representative. The warranty will be void if the product if modified, misused or repaired by an unauthorized person. The warranty after repair will not be extended beyond the original oneyear period. All replacement parts will be new or reconditioned. Parts, which are replaced, become the property of Sunpentown. The warranty applies for the use of the product in the USA only. What is NOT COVERED: Warranty does not include freight charges. Incidental or consequential damage caused by possible defects with this product. Damage to product caused by improper power supply voltage, accident, fire, floods or acts of nature.
