20 4. PRODUCT INSTALLATION F60235N/NE-F60265N/NE-F60285N/NE NO-FROST UPRIGHT DEEP FREEZER 4.1 FIRST INSTALLATION After unpacking, please take the following into consideration for the installation of refrigerator: 1. Is the interior of the refrigerator dry and can the air circulate freely in the rear of it? 2. You can install the 2 plastic wedges as illustrated in the figure. Plastic wedges will provide the required distance between the refrigerator and the wall in order to allow the air circulation. (The illustrated figure is only an example and does not match exactly with your product.) 3. Plug the refrigerator into the wall outlet. 4. You will hear a noise as the compressor starts up. The liquid and gases sealed within the refrigeration system may also give rise to noise, even if the compressor is not running and this is quite normal. 5. Front edges of the refrigerator may feel warm. This is normal. These areas are designed to be warm to avoid condensation. 6. Keep refrigerator away from heat sources, humid places and direct sunlight. 7. There must be appropriate air ventilation around the refrigerator in order to achieve an efficient operation. If the refrigerator is to be placed in a recess in the wall, there must be at least 5 cm distance with the ceiling and at least 5 cm with the wall. If the floor is covered with a carpet, the product must be elevated 2.5 cm from the floor. 8. Place the refrigerator on an even floor surface to prevent jolts. 20 January 11
21 Adjusting the feet: If the refrigerator is not level, you can level it by turning the front feet as illustrated in the figure below. The corner where the foot exists is lowered when you turn it in the direction of black arrow and raised when you turn it in the opposite direction. Temperature Setting: For the models for which a position is assigned, it is recommended to operate on position 3 in the first installation and on position -20 for the models in display. 21 January 11

32 5. PRODUCT USE: F60235N/NE-F60265N/NE-F60285N/NE NO-FROST UPRIGHT DEEP FREEZER User manual must be read before use and indicated warnings and caution items should be observed. These products feature no-frost system and de-frost is automatically performed. Please see user manual for other details. 32 January 11
33 6 GENERAL OPERATION PRINCIPLE The product is an NF upright deep freezer. Refrigeration is achieved by means of passing the air, which is absorbed by the fan on the uppermost part, through the evaporator located behind the cabin. Air temperature sensor on the upper right corner controls the temperature. Air guiding plates on the uppermost shelf serve for proper air circulation and their position is critical. The product performs de-frost periodically in a certain algorithm. Defrosted water accumulates in evaporating container above the compressor. If quick freeze function is activated, the product compressor achieves maximum refrigeration by operating at 100% capacity for the determined period (>24h). If the product's door is not opened for a long time, the product steps into energy saving mode without compromising performance. 33 January 11
