INTRODUCTION TO THE CLEENOL HYGIENE SYSTEM FOR FOOD PROCESSING AND BEVERAGE PROCESSING In the processing and preparation of food and beverages, a safe and effective system of hygiene is not only a legal requirement, but is of crucial importance in the daily routine. Although levels and frequency of cleaning will vary depending upon the food products being processed or prepared, the programme will remain essentially the same: the removal of gross soil, then the application of detergent, followed by cleaning, rinsing and sanitizing. Whatever the cleaning task in the preparation of food, from the first process through to its presentation on the table, there is a Combat adviser on the Cleenol Team who can make specific recommendations relating to the hygiene requirements in any situation. 3 THE RANGE DETERGENT & HARD SURFACE CLEANERS COMBAT HDS This mildly alkaline detergent with excellent grease-cutting properties is particularly useful for the first stage of two stage cleaning processes as it will not inactivate the disinfectants used in the second stage. COMBAT REACT Code: CB527/2X5 Code: CB527/20 Code: CB527/200 A specially formulated heavy duty hard surface cleaner. Mainly used for the removal of heavy fats and protein deposits. It may be used in high pressure washers, steam cleaners and foaming apparatus. Use rate 1 : 100 to 1 : 200. Caution this product is not suitable for use on aluminium surfaces. Pack Size: 10L DETERGENT SANITIZERS COMBAT DOUBLE AGENT BACTERICIDAL MULTIPURPOSE CLEANER Code: CBBGS/10 Code: CBBGS/20 Code: CBBGS/200 COMBAT FAD A detergent, disinfectant and bactericidal hard surface cleaner especially formulated for food contact surfaces. Also for use on utensils, equipment, storage bins, tables and conveyors, etc. Complies with BS EN 1276 at a concentration of 1% and BS COMBAT QUATSAN HI-BAC Code: CBFAD/2X5 Code: CBFAD/20 A concentrated high quality detergent and sanitizer for use where high levels of cleaning and disinfection are required in one product. Can also be used as a final rinse sanitizer. Has passed BS EN 1276 at a concentration of 1%. (UN) SANITIZERS COMBAT QUAT-RINSE Code: CB333/2X5 Code : CB333/20 A food grade terminal disinfectant for the effective sanitization of food production equipment and surfaces after cleaning. Particularly useful for aerial disinfection in high risk food manufacturing areas and air conditioning units using fogging equipment. Has passed BS EN 1276 at a concentration of 1%. A major innovation designed to reduce the risk of disinfectant resistant bacteria. Supplied in two colour-coded formulations, each contains a different disinfection system. Rotating the two products reduces the risk of bacteria developing resistance to the agents designed to destroy them. A versatile, highly effective, non-perfumed hard surface cleaner and sanitizer. Its high dilution rates, along with its antibacterial properties, make it ideal for application where food is processed, stored or in transit. May be used manually, through a pressure washer, a floor scrubbing machine or through a foaming lance. Complies with BS EN 1276 at a concentration of 2% and BS Pack Size: 6 x 750ml H.D. Has passed BS EN 1276 when used neat. Size: 2 x 5L Code: CB923/20 HI-POWER EFFERVESCENT CHLORINE TABLETS Chlorine bleach based disinfectant tablets. 4 FOAM CLEANERS COMBAT POWERFOAM DETERGENT A heavy duty detergent containing caustic soda. For use in high soil processes such as in abattoirs and fish filleting and poultry evisceration plants as well as for cooking, frying and high fat areas, and for heavily soiled floors. (Aluminium and other soft metals should be avoided). YELLOW LABEL WASHAID An alkaline based detergent for use in traywashing machines to clean aluminium trays, baking sheets and utensils. Protects soft metals from corrosion. For use through foaming apparatus. Has passed the BS EN 1276 at a concentration of 4%. A phosphoric acid based descaler and detergent. For cleaning and brightening stainless steel equipment, e.g. vessels, skips, conveyors, utensils, etc. Also, a general descaler for tanks, pipes, heat exchanges, etc. Is particularly useful for the removal of fish slime from fish boxes and dried blood from tiled surfaces in abattoirs.
