3 DESCRIPTION Euroclima double skin self-supporting units are the optimal solution for limited space, mainly used for installation in a false ceiling. Thanks to the double skin construction (23mm sound absorbing rock wool insulation with 20kg/m³), the unit can handle high static pressure drops with excellent acoustic performance. The wide range of heating and cooling capacities, efficient control of room conditions, and the independent user control offered by single room units are major advantages. With unique characteristics and benefits, our units are in a leading position in the market for environmental control. Special features include low noise, cleanliness of filtered air and fresh air makeup either directly from outside or by a central air conditioning system. These benefits provide a guarantee of quality and product rationality in design, efficiency and use. Our units offer a quick installation time and a long operational life due to the utilisation of solid metallic components. KEY FEATURES Low profile design Polyester coated external double skin case EC and AC fan motor options available EC with 0-10V control AC units are complete with 3 speed motors (High/Medium/Low) Chilled water cooling coils available with 4, 5 or 6 rows and 2.1 & 2.5 fins per mm Hot water heating coils available with 1 or 2 rows and 2.1 & 2.5 fins per mm Combined maximum of 6 cooling and 2 heating rows available per unit CONSTRUCTION DS Series: Double skin self-supporting panel 25 mm thick, outer skin 0,8 mm RAL 9010 polyester coating (min 20 μm thickness). Inner skin 0,6 mm galvanized sheet steel. Insulating material rock wool, non-combustible, fire class A1, 20 kg/m³, Rw 31 db(a). Construction made of galvanized frame and galvanized cover sheets with RAL Optional RAL colour available. Full insulation cover can be applied on request. Inclined drain pans made of galvanized sheet steel additional insulated with 5 mm closed cells self-adhesive polythene fireproof insulation (Class 1 European standard). Optional stainless steel or epoxy powder coating drain pans available. MOTORS Electronic motor (EC) Single phase brushless DC motors in accordance with European Standard ErP2015 n. 327/2011. V230/1Ph/50Hz power supply, working temperature -20 / + 55 C, IP20 or IP40 protection, thermal protection as standard. AC On/off motor Standard motors are suitable for a V230/1Ph/50Hz power supply, with permanently coupled capacitor. Motors provided with selflubricating bearings and cast aluminium enclosure rated to IP22 or IP52, class B with thermal protection. 7 speeds are available, 3 are factory wired to a fan speed switch. 5 SUGGESTED SPECIFICATION FACTORY ACCESSORIES The fan coil units shall be of the EUROCLIMA TH-DS series as distributed by Pacific HVAC Engineering and be of the model and dimensional data as shown in the technical schedule/drawings. Units shall be manufactured from double skin construction with SS304 drain pans. Insulation material shall be rock wool, non-combustible, fire class A1. Cooling, heating capacities and external static pressures shall be as shown on the schedule. Fans shall be forward curved centrifugal type driven by either brushless DC motors or AC motors with 3 speeds as specified in the schedules. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION COILS Tubes are manufactured from 9,5 mm (3/8 ) OD copper and are staggered for better heat transfer. High efficiency louvered aluminium fins bonded to the tubes. Coil headers made of brass, copper or steel with female connections. Execution suitable for 2-pipe installation or 4-pipe installation. Manual drain and air vent, automatic air vents optional available. Standard connection sides is left, optional right is available. Maximal working pressure 24 bar, maximal water flow temperature 120 C. DRAIN TRAYS Galvanized sheet steel with an epoxy paint finish in both sides. On horizontal units the drain tray is fully insulated with 5mm closed cell politeness foam, which has a class 1 European std fire resistance. On vertical units, insulation only covers all the areas where condensate collects in the tray, which is inclined. Full insulation cover and increased thickness can be applied on request. Alternative insulation types and stainless steel drain trays are also possible. AIR FILTERS WALL THERMOSTATS A variety of thermostats are available, for installation on walls or direct to the units for BMS control and wired to the fan motor in the factory. AIR FILTERS These kits are available with 2 or 3-way valves, for 2 or 4-pipe installation. They can be supplied loose or factory fitted. ELECTRICAL HEATERS Stainless steel AISI 304 with alu-zinc fins, double safety thermostat with manual and automatic over temperature, power contactor, possible to have air flow switch included. Technical and constructional characteristics according to European safety regulations and Australian Standards. Several heating elements can be connected parallel to increase the heating capacity. PLENUMS Supply monoblock plenum with round spigot connections (max. DN 250 mm), return plenum is to be mounted separately. It can be internally insulated with closed cells self-adhesive polyethylene, fireproof insulation (class 1 European standard). TYPICAL APPLICATIONS Commercial and industrial application including Hospitals, Office Building, Shopping Centres and Universities. FACTORY WARRANTY Warranty is a standard 12 months from practical completion. The synthetic media is cleanable and enclosed in a galvanized frame with wire mesh support.
