This, in addition to precision engineered parts such as the casings for the ceramic disc cartridges, thermostat and non-return valves, means a Trevi shower never fails to deliver. Thermostatic cartridge Our thermostatic wax capsule cartridge is manufactured to the highest standards, with a solid brass outer and a shuttle that ensures precision temperature control. The shuttle regulates the mixture of hot and cold water in the mixing chamber of the valve. If either the hot or cold water supply fails, the shuttle closes the relevant port within 1.5 seconds, thereby preventing the risk of scalding. Pivoted on a unique, patented rubber membrane which allows it to move freely, even when limescale has hardened around the cartridge, the result is a market leading, maintenance-free thermostatic shower valve, making Trevi shower valves true fit and forget products. Ceramic disc The ceramic discs used in Trevi valves are the most efficient and reliable way of ensuring a consistent and precise water flow. What s more, all of our products are drip-free and resistant to the build up of limescale which affects performance. Firstly identify the way in which water is heated and circulated in your house. Low pressure Which experience? Select the type of shower and kind of shower experience you want. Performance type Low pressure gravity fed systems This is the most common type of heating system. To create the shower pressure, water flows directly from a cold water tank (cistern) in your loft to a hot water tank (cylinder) in your airing cupboard. The greater the distance from the bottom of the tank to the top of the showerhead, the better your shower will perform. High pressure Combination boiler / modulating boiler A combi-boiler heats your water up as soon as you turn the shower or hot tap on. It s often located in the kitchen and supplies water at high pressure. Usually this system has a water pressure of between 1 bar (equivalent to 10 metres between the bottom of a cold water tank to the top of the showerhead) and 5 bar. Unvented mains pressure This system stores hot water under pressure in a large cylinder, which is usually found in an airing Safety cupboard or garage. You can identify it by the expansion vessel on top of the cylinder and the absence of a cold water tank. Sometimes, in a refurbished property, an unused cold water tank can be left in place. Digital showers offer simple control by just pressing a button. Other thermostatic showers have manual adjustment for temperature and flow, using either concentric or separate controls. Manual Mixer Showers Single lever control with hot and cold inlet and mixed water outlet. Manual mixer showers do not compensate for variations in water temperature and pressure. Separate handles make showering safer as temperature and water flow controls are easily distinguished, even with your eyes closed. Stunningly beautiful design, whichever way you look at it Designed to fit in with almost any bathroom concept, the TT Shower Collection has been crafted from chrome plated solid brass for both quality and durability. The clean and simple lines disguise an exacting thoroughness and attention to detail. The Ascari and Rivage face plates, for example, can be fitted horizontally as well as vertically. Whilst the ceramic disc flow control has been engineered to go from fully off to fully on in just a quarter turn. The hidden beauty of the TT range Although it looks a complicated piece of engineering, the TT valve has actually been designed to be beautifully simple. It uses just the one cartridge, which means fewer moving parts and easier maintenance. We ve made the nonreturn valves interchangeable so they can be easily swapped over, so you don t have to re-plumb if the hot and cold inlet pipes have been reversed during installation, saving time and money. Finally, the TT valve has only one mixed outlet connection, suitable for rising or falling pipework and can be installed vertically or horizontally. Trouble is, although they look beautiful they tend to have uneven surfaces. Put that together with the fact that a lot more houses and flats have stud partition walls, and you ll see why there s an increasing demand for water-tight sealing. To answer this demand, the TT valve and face plates have been constructed with a twin sealing system: Sealing System One This is a conventional water-proof foam type seal which is incorporated into the face plate sealing gasket When the face plate is screwed on to the valve the seal is compressed and forms a flexible seal over uneven surfaces Sealing System Two Water tight sealing has never been easier This seal is a flexible rubber gasket, incorporating fins designed to fit into the tilting trim surrounding the valve in the wall The purpose of this gasket is to provide an additional seal against water penetration Trevi TT valve The heart of the system. Most significantly the handspray has been slimmed down by a third and made nearly 50% lighter, making it much more attractive and user friendly. The spray plates have been modified to give wider spray coverage, ultimately improving the showering experience. A new wall elbow has also been introduced for the standard connection kits making installation much simpler whilst improving flow performance. At the same time the range has also been simplified to ensure easy selection of the correct kit by combining the low and high pressure options.
