3 STEP #1 PEPAATIN Prper installatin f the T7DH will be accmplished by fllwing these step by step instructins. If yu are unsure abut any f these steps, call a qualified technician fr assistance. Assemble tls as shwn belw. Flat Blade Screwdriver Wire cutter & Stripper Drill with 3/16 inch Drill Bit (when nt using j-bx) Make sure yur Heater/Air nditiner is wrking prperly befre beginning installatin f the T7DH. arefully unpack the T7DH. Save the screws, wall anchrs, and instructins. Page 2

4 STEP #2 EMVE LD THEMSTAT Turn ff the pwer t the Heating/Air nditining system at the main fuse panel. Mst residential systems have a separate breaker fr discnnecting pwer t the furnace. emve the cver f the ld thermstat. If it des nt cme ff easily check fr screws. Lsen the screws hlding the thermstat base r subbase t the wall, and lift away. Discnnect the wires frm the ld thermstat. Tape the ends f the wires as yu discnnect them, and mark them with the letter f the terminal fr easy recnnectin t the new thermstat. Keep the ld thermstat fr reference purpses, until yur new thermstat is functining prperly. Page 3

5 STEP #3 INSTALL BAKPLATE & WIE emve the backplate cnnectr frm the rear f the T7DH. Attach it t the wall. Install wires as directed belw. When finished, snap T7DH n t backplate. If the terminal designatins n yur ld thermstat d nt match thse n the new T7DH, refer t the chart belw, r the wiring diagrams that fllw. Under nrmal circumstances there will never be a need t recalibrate the T7DH again. T accmmdate special needs, the thermstat may be recalibrated fllwing these steps 1. While hlding the mde buttn in, press the fan buttn fr 5 secnds. After all the icns in the display appear, release the buttns. 2. Press the up & dwn arrw buttns simultaneusly. The display will change. 3. Press the up & dwn buttns simultaneusly, again. The current rm temperature will be displayed. 4. Use an accurate thermmeter t measure rm temperature. Press the up r dwn arrw buttns until the displayed temperature equals the rm temperature. 5. Press the up & dwn buttns simultaneusly, again. The current humidity will be displayed. 6. Use an accurate hygrmeter t measure rm humidity. Press the up r dwn arrw buttns until the displayed humidity equals the rm humidity. 7. Press the mde buttn t return t nrmal peratin. Page 7

9 STEP #4 Page 8 TEST PEATIN Turn the pwer n t the Heating/Air nditining system. Press the MDE buttn repeatedly until the L icn appears n the display. Press the up/dwn buttns until the set temperature is 10 degrees belw rm temperature. The air cnditiner shuld turn n. NTE Mst equipment has a time delay f 5 minutes between cl cycles. This feature is defeatable n the thermstat. nsult the wner's Manual under Setup, cycles per hur. Press the MDE buttn repeatedly until the HEAT icn appears n the display. Press the up/dwn buttns until the set temperature is 10 degrees abve rm temperature. The furnace shuld turn n. reate a heat demand by fllwing the prir step t test heat peratin. Press the Humidity Shift buttn s the the Humidity icn appears n the display. Press the up/dwn buttns until the humidity setpint is 10% abve the rm humidity The humidifier shuld turn n.

10 TUBLESHTIN SYMPTM The HVA equipment des nt attempt t turn n. AUSE The cmpressr timer lckut may prevent the air cnditiner frm turning n, fr a perid f time. EMEDY nsult the wner's Manual in the Setup sectin t defeat the cycles per hur and cmpressr timeguard. SYMPTM The display is blank. AUSE Lack f prper pwer.
