2 Company profile Unical produces boilers, both for domestic and commercial use, as well as air conditioning systems, with the highest observance for the Quality of life ; we aim with our products to give: greatest comfort, higher safety, lower energy consumption, high environmental respect. Unical products, technologically innovative, anticipate the continuous evolution of the market. Since 1972, the year of Unical s foundation, important investments have been repeatedly designated to the planning and construction of job centres. Through our research and development centre we ensure the process of constant technological innovation synonymous with the name of Unical. The largest volumes of production are concentrated in the factories of Caorso (PC) and Carbonara PO (MN), which are in the forefront of automation and robotization. In the main factory wall hung and floor standing gas fired boilers, both with atmospheric or premixed burners, (from 3 to 900 ) are assembled. In the second factory, floor standing atmospheric gas boilers, wood fired, steel boilers equipped with oil or gas pressure jet burners (from 11 to 4000 ), steam boilers, superheated water boilers and diathermic oil boilers are assembled. From the strong employment of qualified human resources and from the significant investments in research, development and training, are born the Unical projects for the future, the challenges and the ideas that in turn, produce successful products. The electronics and laboratory research projects are one of the keys that allow Unical to obtain results updated to the best international technology. 3 The condensing era The general consensus of global politics promotes low consumption energy choices, and, at the same time makes us aware of the need for environmental friendly solutions. One result of these factors is the condensing boiler. Unical, among the first manufacturers to develop and promote this technology, now introduce the LKON HE collection. 10 boiler models: Heating only Heating and instantaneous D.H.W. production Heating and D.H.W. production by storage tank Designed to combine comfort with maximum installation flexibility. 4 Efficiency and simplicity prudent investment Designed to answer the recent efficiency requirements, and suitable to enjoy the fiscal advantages connected with the condensing boilers, the whole LKON HE range is based on the energy supplied by a condensing heat exchanger, and the quality of the combustion resulting from the premix burner and the advanced electronic controls Premix burners The LKON HE boilers have a combustion system equipped with total premix burners. special modulating fan, controlled by the main electronic PCB, determined by the output request sucks the exact quantity of gas to be burnt, thus avoiding waste and giving very low polluting emissions. The warm combustion gases, resulting from the combustion of natural gas (CH 4 ) with the Oxygen (O 2 ), very rich in water steam (CH 4 + 2O 2 = CO 2 + 2H 2 O), crosses the aluminium heat exchanger loses heat, cools down and, condensing, produces about one litre of water for each m 3 of burnt gas. This recovered energy, condensation heat or recovery of latent heat becomes an economic saving, not provided by traditional boilers. Self-adaptation The use of the premix burner provides the boiler with the capacity to adjust the output depending on the smoke side resistance,thus resolving any problems connected with the execution of the flue ducts. Controls and Commands Electronic modulation: The LKON HE range of boilers introduce specific functions in the control of the output and operational levels. The temperature and output regulations, once planned, are automatically checked with the aid of modulating thermostats and external temperature sensors. uto-diagnosis and safety: The powerful microprocessors on the panel board provide an exceptional level of safety and breakdown prevention, due to the auto-diagnosis in real time.

5 In tune with the environment The aluminium, the silicon, the magnesium for the motor The condensing heat exchanger, in order to withstand the corrosion of acid condensate and to guarantee a high thermal efficiency, is constructed with an aluminium/silicon/magnesium alloy. The aluminium is the basic constituent, the silicon increases the resistance to the high temperatures and the magnesium facilitates the machining. The cast section is formed by two half-shells, that, on the exhaust side, have fins that increase with downward density, where the smoke condensation takes place. Between the 2 half-shells is drawn the exchange circuit of the water that, crossing them, in ascending way, with helical arrangement, guarantees an exceptional counter-current heat exchange giving minimum environmental pollution. 11 LKON SR/SC HE The control panel Simple to use due to 2 large selection knobs which permit boiler ignition, central heating adjustment C and domestic hot water adjustment 3-60 C (for the tank). The temperature-pressure gauge controls the boiler temperature and pressure, as well as the various system power on, CH mode, burner on and indicator leds. Over 14 different led indicators highlight system problems at a glance, from no water to a NTC sensor fault, providing a diagnostic facility for both, the user and the installer. ccessory ll LKON HE models are suitable for the installation of M 3000 S, an electrohydraulic device, which enables the management of high (radiators) and low temperature zones (underfloor) at the same time.
