4 1. GENERAL INFORMATION This manual is an integral and essential part of the cylinder and is to be given to the user. Carefully read the instructions in this manual as they provide important information concerning safe installation, use and maintenance. Keep this manual for future reference. Cylinder installation is to be implemented in accordance with current regulations, manufacturer instructions, and by professionally qualified personnel. Incorrect installation may cause injury to people, animals, and damage to property. Manufacturer shall not be held liable for any such injury and/or damage. The cylinder is designed for domestic hot water production and storage. It is to be connected to a water heating system, domestic hot water distribution system and water mains network, compatible with cylinder performance and technical specifications. Cylinder use other than specified is forbidden and manufacturer shall not be held liable for injury and/or damage caused by improper or incorrect us. Packaging materials are to be disposed of as soon as possible and in accordance to current laws and regulations; they are a potential hazard, particularly for children. Cylinder exterior surface is to be cleaned by means of a cloth dampened in products specifically made for the purpose. Do not use abrasive products or solvent. In order to validate warranty conditions, cylinder installation is to be implemented in accordance with current regulations, and performed by professionally qualified personnel. Any optional equipment to be installed to the cylinder is to be manufacturer approved. Disconnect power mains before implementing any repair or service procedure. Should the cylinder malfunction, turn it off and have it serviced by qualified personnel. 4

WHPF BO HOT WATER CYLINDER TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS WHPF BO hot water cylinder capacity is 120 l and is designed to withstand the weight of cast iron, central heating only boilers model Elba, Elba Dual, Bali R, Moorea R, Maldives R. The cylinder is made of AISI 316 L steel, which ensures absolute resistance to water induced corrosion. Its high thickness, polyurethane foam insulation layer, greatly reduces heat losses, allowing for water to hold temperature for extended periods of time. SPECIFICATIONS U.M. 6 3. COMPONENTS ACCESSIBLE BY THE USER The horizontal cylinder has a thermometer on its frontal surface displaying cylinder water temperature, and a water temperature adjustable thermostat. Cylinder frontal view ADJUSTABLE THERMOSTAT THERMOMETER Max T The user may set water temperature by rotating the thermostat knob clockwise to increase temperature from a minimum temperature of 32 C to a max temperature of 65 C. POSITIONING BALI RTFS, MOOREA R MODELS ON THE CYLINDER BALI RTFS, MOOREA R models are to be positioned on top of the cylinder (supporting surface) WARNING: before positioning the boiler, it is necessary to remove the legs located under the boiler heat exchanger. 6

7 5. POSITIONING OF BALI RTN, ELBA, ELBA DUAL MODELS Follow the instructions below in order to position these boilers: 1. Install the model relevant brackets on the supporting surface of the cylinder (see following pictures) 2. Position the boiler model matching the centering holes The cylinder is delivered with two types of bracket in order to position BALI RTN and ELBA / ELBA DUAL boilers: ELBA /ELBA DUAL BRACKETS BALI RTN BRACKETS On the upper cylinder surface ( supporting surface), some pairs of holes are located, allowing for fixing the brackets with regard to boiler dimensions. 8 The pairs of holes marked by position 1 and 2 and described respectively as Fixed position for Bali RTN bracket and Fixed position for Elba / Elba Dual bracket, are the required position of the first bracket (which is always installed in the same position regardless of the boiler relevant output model). Below is showed an example, illustrating the fixing procedure for Elba / Elba Dual and Bali RTN brackets; please note their positioning way: No. 2 bracket positioned for model BALI RTN 48 No. 1 bracket in its mandatory position for models BALI RTN 48 No. 2 bracket positioned for model ELBA 43 No. 1 bracket in its mandatory position for models ELBA/ELBA DUAL 8

9 WARNING: The holes to be considered in order to secure Elba / Elba Dual model bracket are marked in the picture below. Elba / Elba Dual and Bali RTN cast iron heat exchangers have protrusions on their legs which help you position them in their seats on the relevant brackets. ELBA 43 boiler positioning example 9

D coupling is the outlet of cold water from the cylinder coil heat exchanger, therefore it is to be connected to the boiler return. Hydraulic connection example is shown below: 10
