2 CONTROL PANELS DIEMATIC SYSTEM GENERAL The virtual brain of the boiler, piloted by a microprocessor, a DIEMATIC system control panel is factory fitted with a programmable control unit that activates the burner according to the outside temperature. As it is preprogrammed, it does not require any preliminary setting. Extremely easy to use, DIEMATIC system is used to easily modify temperatures, programs and various other parameters at any time. Very user-friendly thanks to its display unit, it interfaces clearly with the user in several languages and pilots any type of installation, from the simplest to the most sophisticated. With a particularly well integrated design, DIEMATIC system control panels give the boilers on which they are mounted a very high class esthetic. Ready for delivery, a DIEMATIC 3 or DIEMATIC isystem control panel can control a boiler circuit (working on 1-stage or modulating burner). By simply adding the DHW sensor option, it is also ready to regulate (as a priority) and program the domestic hot water production. For models equipped for DHW production the DHW sensor is provided. With the addition of 1 or 2 optional PCBs (for DIEMATIC 3) (or 1 outlet sensor and 1 optional PCBs for DIEMATIC isystem), it is possible to control 1 or 2 circuits with mixing valve. Complemented with 1 or more room temperature sensors or interactive remote controls, DIEMATIC 3 and DIEMATIC isystem are self-adaptable, i.e. they will self-adapt the heating curve of each circuit to the characteristics of the installation and to the actual heating needs without prior setting. The DIEMATIC 3 control panel offers the option of being fitted with a CDI 2 interactive remote control (for CDR 2 radio remote control) or a simplified remote control with room temperature sensor per circuit. The DIEMATIC 3 / DIEMATIC isystem control panels offer the option of being fitted with a CDI 2 interactive remote control (or CDR 2 radio remote control) or a simplified remote control with room temperature sensor per circuit. The cascade installation of 2 to 10 boilers is also possible: each additional boiler can in turn manage 2 circuits with mixing valve. Just like DIEMATIC 3, a DIEMATIC-m 3 control panel, adapted for larger capacities boiler rooms, can control a boiler circuit (working on 1-, 2 stage or modulating burner). The DIEMATIC-m 3 control panel is used as standard to control 1 direct circuit or 1 circuit with mixing valve (outlet sensor optional). Complemented by 1 or 2 optional PCBs, it can thus control up to 3 circuits with mixing valve. By adding the DHW... sensor option, it can also be used to control (as a priority) and program the domestic hot water production. As standard, DIEMATIC-m 3 is capable of controlling a cascade of up to 9 boilers fitted with a K3 control panel. Each of the boilers with K3 control panel can also control up to 3 circuits with mixing valve (PCBs optional). Complemented with one or more room temperature sensors, DIEMATIC-m 3 is self-adaptable, i.e. that, without preliminary adjustment, it will itself adapt the heating curve of each circuit to the characteristics of the installation and actual heating needs. In its basic version, DIEMATIC-m 3 is designed to communicate with one or more DIEMATIC-VM isystem wall-mounted control units, which can control 2 additional hydraulic circuits each, and/or with compatible telemonitoring systems. A summary table presenting the selection of control systems and the relevant options depending on the circuits connected is given on the pages at the end of each range of boilers. OPTIONS FOR DIEMATIC 3 AND DIEMATIC-M 3 CONTROL PANELS for all installation configuration 85Q022 Domestic hot water sensor This is used for controlling the DHW temperature as a priority and programming of domestic hot water production with an independent calorifier. It can also be used as a outlet sensor in a cascade. AD (1) 8575Q036 PCB + sensor for 1 mixing valve This is used to control a mixing valve with an electromechanical or electrothermal motor. The PCB is inserted into the DIEMATIC 3 or DIEMATIC-m 3 panel connected using socket and pin connections. DIEMATIC 3 or DIEMATIC-m3 can receive 1 or 2 PCB + sensor options, enabling it to control 1 or 2 mixing valves. FM FM 51 AD Q172A CALENTA_Q Q Q037 CDI 2 interactive remote control CDR-4 interactive radio remote control (with radio transmitter) Boiler radio transmitter (radio transmitter) These are used to override all instructions from the DIEMATIC 3 or DIEMATIC-m 3 control panel from the room in which they are installed. In addition, they enable the self-adaptability of the heating curve for the circuit concerned (one CDI 2 or CDR-4 per circuit). In the case of the CDR-4, the data are transmitted by radio waves from the place where the CDR-4 is installed to the transmitter/receiver box placed close to the boiler. Simplified remote control with room sensor This is used from the room in which it is installed to override certain instructions from the DIEMATIC 3/DIEMATIC-m 3 panel: - room temperature program and instruction override. It is also used to enable the self-adaptability of the heating curve for the circuit concerned (1 remote control per circuit). FM 51 AD FM Q048 Flue gas sensor This enables the user to read the display on the flue gas temperature table and control the state of cleanliness of the heating exchange surfaces in the heating body. In the case of cascade installations, each of the boilers can be connected to a flue gas sensor. (1) For models equipped for DHW production, the DHW sensor is delivered in the package. FM

3 CONTROL PANELS DIEMATIC SYSTEM for all installation configuration 8227Q020 BUS connection cable (length 12 m) The BUS cable is used to make the connection between 2 boilers fitted with the DIEMATIC 3 or DIEMATIC-m 3 control panel in a cascade installation, as well as the connection of a DIEMATIC VM isystem control unit or a telemonitoring network transmitter. AD Q013 Set of 2 sensors for storage tank Includes 1 DHW sensor and 1 heating sensor for managing a storage tank with a boiler fitted with a DIEMATIC 3 control panel - For all the boilers equipped DIEMATIC 3 or DIEMATIC-m3 control panel, except Elidens DTG to Elidens DTG to 115 AD 160 AD Q172A 8575Q034 Radio outside temperature sensor Boiler radio module (radio transmitter) The radio outside temperature sensor can be delivered as optional equipment for systems in which the installation of the wire connection outside temp. sensor delivered with DIEMATIC 3 and DIEMATIC-m 3 control panels would be too complex. If this sensor is used: - With a wire connection remote control (FM 51 or FM 52), it is necessary to order the Boiler radio module as well - With a radio remote control (AD 284), ordering the Boiler radio module is not necessary for GT 220 only : GT220_Q stage/mod./3WV PCB This PCB is used to control a GT 220 D boiler fitted with a 2-stage or modulating burner. It also includes control and programming of a circuit with a 3-way mixing valve; the outlet sensor downstream of the valve (package AD 199) must be ordered separately, however. AD GT220_Q0002 Outlet sensor downstream of the valve This sensor is required if using the 2st./mod./3WV PCB for controlling a circuit with mixing valve. AD for GT 330/430/530, DTG 230/330, C 230 ECO and GTU C 330 Other accessories GT220_Q0002 GT330_F Q Q063 Outlet sensor downstream of the valve This sensor is required to connect a circuit with mixing valve to a boiler fitted with a DIEMATIC-m 3 control panel when there is no direct circuit (without valve) Relay PCB + sensors for 1st valve circuit This package is required to connect the first circuit with mixing valve to a boiler fitted with a K3 control panel in case of a cascade installation. Room sensor A room sensor is connected to activate the comfort period start-up optimisation function from the room in which it is installed. It is also used to enable the self-adaptability of the heating curve for the circuit concerned (1 sensor per circuit). 40 m long BUS connecting cable The 40 m long armored connecting cable is intended to replace the 12 m BUS cable, (package AD 134) when these turn out to be too short. AD AD AD DB Q022 BUS cable extension This accessory is used to make the connection between 2 BUS cables if the 2 boilers to be connected are too far from each other. AD

AD MCA_Q0013 PCB + sensor for 1 mixing valve This is used to control a mixing valve with an electromecanichal or electrothermal motor. The PCB is inserted into the DIEMATIC isystem panel connected by pin connections. DIEMATIC isystem can receive 1 "PCB + sensor" option, enabling it to control 1 additional mixing valve. AD AD 284/ Q172A CALENTA_Q0005 CDI D. isystem interactive remote control CDR D. isystem interactive "radio" remote control (without radio transmitter) Radio boiler module DIEMATIC isystem (transmitter) These are used to override all instructions from the DIEMATIC isystem control panel from the room in which they are installed. In addition, they enable the selfadaptability of the heating regime for the circuit concerned (one CDI D.iSystem or CDR D.iSystem per circuit). In the case of the CDR D.iSystem, the data are transmitted by radio waves from the place where the CDR.i.System is installed to the transmitter/receiver box (package ) placed close to the boiler. AD 254 AD Q037 Simplified remote control with room sensor This is used from the room which it is installed to override certain instructions from the DIEMATIC isystem panel : - room temperature program and instruction override. It is also used to enable the self-adaptabilty of the heating curve for the circuit concerned (1 remote control per circuit). FM Q172A 8575Q034 MCA_Q Q020 BUS connection cable (lenght 12 m) The BUS cable is used to make the connection between 2 boilers fitted with the DIEMATIC isystem control panel in a cascade installation, as well as the connection of a DIEMATIC VM control unit or a telemonitoring network transmitter. Sensor for storage tank Includes 1 sensor for managing a storage tank with a boiler fitted with a DIEMATIC isystem control panel. Radio outside temperature sensor Boiler radio module (radio transmitter) The radio outside temperature sensor can be delivered as optional equipment for systems in which the installation of the external wire connection sensor delivered with DIEMATIC isystem control panel would be too complex. If this sensor is used - With a wire connection remote control (AD 254 or FM 52) it is necessary to order the "Boiler radio module" - With a radio remote control (AD 284), already combined with a "boiler radio module" (), control of a second module is not necessary. 5 WALL-HUNG CONTROL UNIT DIEMATIC VM isystem WALL-HUNG CONTROL UNIT DIEMATIC VM isystem Control unit VM_Q0001 The VM isystem electronic control system, incorporated in a wall-mounted box, is used to manage and control two heating circuits and a DHW circuit and each of the heating circuits may be a direct circuit or a circuit with motorised 3-way mixing valve. It is possible to interlink up to 20 VM isystem control systems and thus configure numerous combinations, regardless of the type of installation: - VM isystem can be used in combination with an existing generator to control additional heating and DHW circuits. In this case, it will communicate with the generator via a BUS cable (e.g. De Dietrich boiler fitted with a DIEMATIC control panel). - VM isystem can also be used fully autonomously on its own to control heating and DHW circuits according to the outside temperature (sensor to be ordered separately package FM 46) independently of the generator. Dimensions: length: 320mm, height: 260mm, depth: 145mm DIEMATIC VM isystem AD In addition, VM isystem can control a boiler via OpenTherm (outlet available on VM isystem) for a boiler equipped with an OpenTherm bus, or as "ON/OFF" via the auxiliary contact for any other generator (burner, HP, wood-fired boiler ). It can also control a boiler cascade: - Equipped with a DIEMATIC control panel - Equipped with an Opentherm BUS via an interface board (1 board per generator); VM isystem is also equipped with an auxiliary outlet which, apart from the controlling a generator in ON/OFF mode, allows control of a heating pump, a primary pump, a second DHW circuit, an alarm signal, etc. It also has a 0-10V inlet that can be configured for ON/OFF telephone control. AD Q002 Programmable room thermostat This thermostat handles the regulation and weekly programming of the heating by activating the burner and in accordance with the following 3 modes of operation: AUTOMATIC : according to programming (4 programs to choose from) automatically commutes the installation into comfort or low mode. The comfort and low temperatures can be adjusted between 5 and 30 C. PERMANENT : maintains the set temperature all the time (between 5 and 30 C). VACATION : intended for absences of long duration, maintains the desired temperature (between 5 and 30 C) for a predetermined duration (1 to 99 days). The version "wireless" is delivered with a transmitter-receiver to be fixed to the wall near the boiler. Standard control panel for GT 330/430/530 and GTU C 330 boilers This control panel is designed for central heating installations without a control system or for ones which include a control cabinet in the boiler room.
