By repositioning machinery, implementing new process flows, and relocating supplies and components, the production of manufactured goods is faster, more efficient, and presents far less strain for our workers. In addition, we have been replacing old light fixtures with high effiency lighting throughout our facility. High efficient lighting significantly reduces our use of electricity. Champion makes every effort to use USA made products! STEEL Steel, our primary raw material, is abundant, sustainable, and renewable. Steel contains 40% recycled material and is in itself 100% recyclable. We continuously monitor steel scrap percentages using the latest technology and manufacturing processes and we work to decrease scrap, saving energy and resources for steel production. We recycle our scrap metal to be processed and used again. POWDER COAT We emit zero Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) by using a powder coating system instead of a wet paint system. Powder coating production lines produce less hazardous waste than conventional liquid coating. It is economical, efficient, and environmentally friendly. We recycle our powder coating overspray and thus it is possible to achieve up to 98% use of the coating. No costly waste disposal equipment unused powder can be reclaimed and returned. Location We are located less than one hour East of Portland International Airport (PDX) in the scenic and beautiful Columbia Gorge along the Columbia River in Oregon.
