2 CANAIR Differen<ators North American made parts are always available. ABC alterna<on pacern vs. AB alterna<on pacern. All components are DEHP and BPA FREE and all units are manufactured under ISO medical guidelines. CANAIR has a surface to fit any situa<on - sta<c low air loss, pulsa<ng, alterna<ng, lateral rota<on and even bariatric surfaces.

3 CANAIR Differen<ators Power cord is not integrated so if it is damaged it can be replaced on site instead of sending en<re control unit back to be repaired.

4 CANAIR Differen<ators In case of a power outage there is a 2 foam layer to prevent bocoming out. The 3 layer top cover is air permeable and water resistant.

11 CANAIR Differen<ators CPR valve is found at the head of the macress area. The incorrect posi<on of the CPR valve is shown below. The valve is open and therefore the macress will not inflate properly.

12 CANAIR Differen<ators Grey cord on the lex is the Auto Fowler connec<on that controls the blower when in a seated posi<on. The white connector and clear hose is the exhaust hose. The control unit runs cooler because the warm air is vented into the macress. Most units do not have this feature.

13 Self- Diagnosing Control Unit Control unit can be diagnosed on site. Hold alarm bucon and turn on power bucon at the same <me. The cycle <me window will show the machine running through the diagnos<cs and if there is an internal problem it will show up. This is only to be done axer you have called Sunrise Tech Service and someone will walk you through this process. Tech Service can help determine what the error codes mean.

14 Set- Up The unit will come in two boxes - one for the macress and one for the control unit. The control unit is also known as a blower or pump. Control unit comes with the power cord and owner s manual. Unwrap macress and lay it out on the bed frame. The hoses should be at the foot end of the bed.

15 Set- Up Hook control unit to foot board with both hooks. Route the power cord through the bed and make sure there will be no pinch points. Plug it in. Plug in Auto Fowler, exhaust hose and the 3 hose connectors.

16 Set- Up CPR valve set up correctly. CPR valve set up incorrectly.

17 Set- Up Filter is located at the back of the control unit. Top picture shows it installed and bocom picture shows it removed. It should be cleaned once a week with soap and warm water and then shake it dry before re- installing.

18 Storage Instruc<ons Deflate macress un<l all air is exhausted completely. With the cover on, roll the macress star<ng at the foot sec<on by the CPR valve. Secure with straps and keep macress in a clean dry area away from heat or flames. Store control unit and macress in a temperature range between 0 F (- 18 C) and 95 F (35 C). Keep out of direct sunlight. DO NOT expose to moisture or areas of humidity greater than 95%.

19 MaCress Cleaning Instruc<ons It is recommended that gloves and protec<ve clothing be worn at all <mes during cleaning and disinfec<ng. Hypercarbonate and phenol based solu<ons should not be used. For normal soil, wipe down cover and interior cells with a standard cleaning disinfectant and wipe off excess moisture with a towel.

20 Laundering MaCress 1. Disconnect the power from the control unit and deflate the interior cells. 2. Disassemble cover, interior cells, connec<ng hoses and base. Place them in different laundering baskets. 3. The interior cells must be hand cleaned only. DO NOT place in steriliza<on room or chamber. Use a spray disinfectant to wipe down interior cells. Air- dry sacs. DO NOT expose to heat. 4. Using spray disinfectants wipe down foam cover. 5. Place cover and base ONLY in washing machine. 6. Use standard hospital disinfectant/detergent.

Set washing cycles as recommended below: Regular Cycle a) Pre- soak with disinfectant/detergent with diluted bleach in cold water (10 minutes.) b) Main wash for 15 minutes (Time depends on soil level). c) Rinse Cycle: 5 minutes minimum. d) Spin/Drain Cycle: 5 minutes minimum. e) Air- dry or place in dryer at very low or no heat. 8. AXer the cover, interior cells and base are dry, store them in a sterilized bag and seal for next use. NOTE: DO NOT use water temperatures greater than 150 F (65 C).

22 Control Unit Cleaning Instruc<ons 1. Hand clean only. DO NOT place in steriliza<on room or chamber. 2. It is recommended that gloves and protec<ve clothing be worn at all <mes during cleaning and disinfec<ng 3. Hypercarbonate and phenol based solu<ons should not be used. 4. Make sure unit is turned off and unplugged before cleaning. 5. For normal soil, wipe down with a standard cleaning spray and wipe off excess moisture with a towel. Spray with a disinfectant and let it stand for a few minutes before wiping down. 6. Check corners and creases for soil build- up. Look to see if any external parts are damaged or need replacing such as: hooks, foot pads and filter. Replacement parts can be issued. Contact your representa<ve for servicing. NOTE: To keep your equipment working efficiently and effec<vely for an extended <me period, it is essen<al to make sure the equipment is cleaned regularly and well maintained.

23 Control Unit Maintenance Air Filter The foam air filter on the back of the control unit must be cleaned weekly with soap and warm water. Replacement of the foam filter is recommended every 6 months. Power Cord The power cord should be checked for damage each <me the control unit is used. The cord should always be kept away from free moving parts. If the power cord is damaged it will need to be replaced.
