4 THORNBOROUGH Nash End Farm lies on the edge of Thornborough, an historic village with a church that dates back to at least 1237 and also Thornborough Bridge, which is the only surviving medieval bridge in the county and dates from the 14th Century. The village is surrounded by farmland and open countryside, lying in rural Buckinghamshire yet has to hand a number of market towns, including nearby Buckingham which provides day to day shopping with further more comprehensive facilities available in the larger centres of Milton Keynes, Bicester and Oxford. Access to Central London is provided by regular train service from Milton Keynes which runs into London Euston (about 35 minutes) or Bicester into London Marylebone (50 minutes) or by car on the M40 or M1 motorways. The surrounding countryside offers excellent walking and riding opportunities with several footpaths and bridleways passing close to and through the village.

6 Educational facitilies in the area are first class with good provision for children of all ages including of note the Royal Latin Grammar School. Stowe School in partictular is easily accesible being just 5 miles away. Also close to hand are; Thornborough Village School, Thornton School, Swanbourne School, Beachborough, Akeley Wood, Winchester House at Brackley and Tudor Hall, Nr Banbury. Golf is available at Woburn, Whittlebury Park, Stowe, Buckingham with motor racing at Silverstone and horse racing at Towcester. From London take the M1 to junction 13 then take the signs for the A421 and Milton Keynes. Continue on the A421 towards Buckingham for about 10 miles. Ignore the first signpost for Thornborough and on reaching the second sign for Thornborough turn right.
