We re about half way through our year and we still have a lot of fun, informative, and active things to do, see, and hear with our PVGC family. First of all, our projects: the Community Center landscaping and the Animal Shelter landscaping. We have to rely on others to get the Community Center project going, so we don t have much control. We may have to make some hard decisions in the near future. I ll tell you more about it at our next general meeting on Thursday, January 17th. But the Animal Shelter is our own and we can get going on that one ASAP. Carol Cannon is spearheading the landscaping of the area in front of the entryway and we are all going to help her. We have allocated $ for this project so far and Carol will tell us We All Need a Little Sunshine Please let Marlene Fowler know of anyone who needs a card. more about it at our General Meeting. Next, our January trip: the Insectary in Santa Paula trip has been cancelled. They are very busy fighting the psyllid infestation of citrus trees and cannot accommodate us. So, we have decided to go to the Ventura Botanical Gardens on Tuesday, January 22nd (It s free on Tuesdays!). We ll meet at the church parking lot at 9:30 a.m. and form car pools. Lunch will be on our own. You ll want to see what they ve been doing since the Treasurer s Report Meeting Checklist Our available funds are: $ 10, Thomas fire. We donated $ last spring and we ll probably donate more this year. They need it! Be thinking of signing up your garden for our PVGC garden tour of members gardens. It will be on Thursday, April 11th. Peg Tancreto is in charge of this event. Remember, it doesn t matter how small or large your garden is because it s just fun to see what ladies who love to dig in the dirt are doing. It s always a fun morning/afternoon! Our program on the 17th promises to be a good one, and it s something we all are trying to do: Growing and Propagating Succulents. I hope to see you all there! P.S. Thank you, Marie Coolidge, for decorating the courtyard fountain with beautiful poinsettias! Plants, flowers, fruits, or vegetables for horticulture Coffee cup Non-Perishable goods for Church Food Pantry Donation for Penny Pines Working balance $ 10,154.00
