5 Mingo 41 ST st RML Employee Park BA RML provides onsite in-patient services in Tulsa, Oklahoma. RML worked with us to provide their employees a wellness park for the employees to escape the office life and enjoy a new professionally designed outdoor space. We brought a fresh new landscape to a once empty lot with keeping sustainably at the roots of the design. 6 Community Outreach Jenks Public Schools Flycatcher Trails Flycatcher Trails is a dream that came to fruition by Freshman Jenks Science teacher and Wildlife extraordinaire Todd Humphrey and Alyne Eiland. Starting out as an unsightly empty lot, Grogg s Green Barn and many other like-minded companies in the community, helped to transform this area into an outside classroom and urban wildlife habitat. In addition, many of the students at Jenks helped to lend a hand with the labor that was needed. It was a true collaborative effort. Through donations, grants, and sweat equity, this beautiful park has become one of the staple attraction on the Jenks campus and a resort for birds, butterflies, and beneficial insects. 7 Community Outreach YWCA - Tulsa Raised Bed Gardens for the benefit of their surrounding Community YWCA Tulsa has had the great service of a gentleman that worked 6 large raised beds for many years out of the goodness of his heart. Many people of the community and members of the YWCA came to love and rely on his veggies every year. After the announcement of retirement the staff of the Y found themselves not wanting to let the beds go to waste. They reached out to Grogg s Green Barn for assistance in educating their staff and growing their gardens again. Grogg s was eager to help. Speaking with the staff, creating a succession plantings and drawings of their garden beds, creating a team-work day and getting down and dirty by pulling weeds, amending soil and planting seeds to get the garden going again!

8 Tulsa Air & Space Museum Hydroponics Exhibit From Storage Closet Fresh produce meets out of this world environment. Is it possible for astronauts to do long missions and be able to have something other than dehydrated foods? We love out the box thinking and jumped at the chance to create a fun and educational display for the thousands of students that pass-thru the doors of Tulsa Air and Space Museum. We are all aware that certain crops can be grown without soil and indoors but let s connect it to a tangible reality that could be of great benefit to some of the world s most amazing explorers. By constructing a Hydroponics System Grogg s Green Barn will display a working model of plants, air, light and minimal water to grow over 40 edible crops at a time. Minimal space is required and the system will allow instructors of the museum to have a hands-on engaging alternative to paper and computers. 9 City of Tulsa - Our number one priority for the neighborhood was to install a much needed sidewalk to make it safer for pedestrians Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett said. Through our resiliency efforts, groups across generations came together to make this more than a sidewalk project by creating a unique monarch waystation that could also serve as the practical connector for residents in the area. 10 We design and construct our own wellness gardens to provide a learning tool to the Oklahoma community. It is a way for us to teach and demonstrate a hands on experience to our local community on how to grow and maintain an organic garden. Raised beds with seasonal edibles and we also have on display a chicken coop, green roof, native landscape beds, bug hotel, and keyhole garden. 11 Carla Grogg Operations Manager Community Outreach Carla Grogg is the backbone of Grogg s Green Barn (GGB.) She has a background in design and a passion for bringing sustainability to the heart of the Tulsa Community. She is an expert in management and manages all facets of GGB. Carla approaches every project with the goal of satisfying the client, and bringing the right people forward to tackle any project that make Tulsa a more sustainable place. He has always been a natural born leader and has a passion for making our world a more sustainable place. He approaches every aspect of the business with the goal in making sure it is sustainable, organic, and economical for our green country customers. Raychelle Wilson Horticulture Operations If you have a gardening question, Raychelle most likely has the answer. With a Bachelors degree in Organismic Biology/ Horticulture from NSU, Raychelle certainly brings a depth of knowledge to Grogg s. She loves to grow and loves the whole process from start to finish. Lindsey Fladie Landscape Design Project Management Lindsey Fladie has a Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University in Landscape Contracting and also holds a minor in Horticulture. She does a great job of making sure all of our plants and edibles stay happy and healthy for our customers. If you re having a gardening or landscape question, Lindsey is a great resource. Emily Akin Store Manager We are excited to have her as a member of our staff. A certified permaculture design consultant, she brings with her a wealth of knowledge. Emily likes working with people and enjoys helping our customers. Because she s always looking for an excuse to learn about new things, she has brought an enthusiasm to her position.
